i knew it was him going into this but i still genuinely gasped when i turned the page and saw this like oh shit i didn’t expect him to show up so soon!
i have been absolutely digging every bit of this series (ultimate comics doomsday). i just love the way all the dialogue and banter is written (spiderman and spiderwoman’s interactions are a highlight i think. mahr vehl too.). the silly and snarky and quirky and overall varied personalities of the whole cast is such a delight to me :] good dialogue exchanges are one aspect of comics that i get a lot of enjoyment from. the art-style is one i enjoy, too (i encounter ones i personally dislike too often) so i’m very thankful it’s been the same artist, plus it helps the storytelling feel cohesive.
The Clone Saga Question
Why the hell did Doc Octavius give (most) of the Pete clones the memories of the original? Well....
According to Bendis (the writer of this-Ultimate: Doomsday- and the clone saga) Otto thinks that Peter is his Equal. Which, I mean, odd but okay. It definitely fits nicely into the theory of 'Otto believed that clones without Pete's memories and intelligence would be lesser.' And the Doc hates wasted potential. Is Otto weirdly possessive of Pete? Yes, absolutely. No question.
