Shout out to my dad for tipping me off to Ultrakam, an app that lets your iPhone shoot various species of 2K video, including a 2240x1672 H.264 with an aspect ratio of roughly 4:3. This video by Carlos Cameras shows some of what's possible with that field of view and it's very refreshing as a reaction to the trend toward super-wide anamorphic aspect ratios over the last few years.

"Blunty" is a Sydney-based YouTuber who reviews cameras, apps, and gaming related things. Not sure that the iPhone 3 I have would cope (let alone have the 3-gigs-per-shot storage capability left on it without constantly managing it between takes), but would be interested to see someone with a later model have a play with this app.
