I really want to say it does! I did all the steps, and I went in there in mind for a Shiny Fighting type, and I got out in 15-20 minutes with a Shiny Sawk. So unless I’ve won the lottery, I really think it works! c:

That said I told some of my friends and they’ve been searching for double the time now.
