Local SPOT: Ulvetimen
Ulvetimen (the hour of the wolf) is an Aarhus based band that plays mellow, gloomy folk-rock with Danish lyrics. There are six members in the band and it was founded in 2010. Their songs are about being disguised as a wolf, having the best intentions but failing.
They have just released a music video for their first single: “Dem Vi Drukner” (the ones we drown). The single is a great mixture of melancholy, classic folk-rock and that certain Nordic vibe. The track includes a lot of well-thought details from the different instruments and for every time you give yet another listen to the song you discover new layers in the beautiful soundscape. The single will be included on their upcoming debut EP - out in May.
The members of the band say that they are inspired from artists such as Nick Cave, The National, Tom Waits and more.
If you like their single as much as we do, then you should definitely consider watching them at this years Spot Festival, which includes lots of other amazing Danish acts as well.
Ulvetimen are playing Spot Festival Friday 20.00 at Café-scenen
