Once upon a time, Monsters and man had once shared the warmth of the great light.

Monsters and humans would roam the realm im perfect harmony creating balance to the world.

But this peace was not forever, and as everything over time, the bond between these two beings withered away.

A war broke out, a war so strong it devided the realm.

The battle was long and merciless with many that met an early grave.

But at the end the humans won, and with their victory they casted away the monsters with a spell, down to the realm of Umbra.

Humans remained in the realm of Lux.

There are still humans who wander into Umbra but are never seen again.

Here is a digital version of the traditional drawing of Umbraltale Sans i made. On a nother note, sorry for my innactivity lately, ive been rather busy creating the world and other things, eventually i’ll start drawing more again on the story ^w^

-The story so far-

In this au there is 2 realms the realm of light where humans live in and the realm of Umbral where all monsters live in.

Light and dark have always been at war and some eons ago the light had sealed away the dark with a powerful spell.

Ever since then the Umbral monsters have been looking for a way to break the seal.

Humans can cross from light to dark but cannot go from dark to light.

Like the original story asgore or well the Umbral King sent sentinels to capture the humans that cross over out of curiosity.

sincwen the au Papyrus is one of those elites, the best one for the job while his brother Sans doesnt care much about capturing them, he wants to make friends with a Human since he has never seen one since his brother always took the ones that come away.

papyrus personality is stern and slightly cold, though for his brother he is the very opposite.

San's personality is energetic, happy and very curious, some monsters cant stand his positive energy. Those monsters typically get threatened by papyrus.

The human that ends up there, has an encounter with Umie the Umbral flower who knows what happens to humans and tries his best to guide the human to a point where they can escape the Umbral realm.

Umie's personality is slightly stubborn but very kind to the Crossing Child in a more brotherly way.

The Umbral Realm

Its a place shrouded in pitch darkness, things have bio luminescence and monsters crave the light those that cross contain....humans that cross have their soul always exposed as their soul is made of light, Monster souls have no light.

So thats what i have going so far. Hope its interesting. Im trying xD
