Can be propagated in water also. Take a stem, dip it in water upside down with the palm in water and stem upwards. In few days, new shoots develop within water. U can enjoy them as water plants... or can plant them in soil for a mature plant. Planting And Care The main concern about Cyperus houseplants is the moisture level and consistency. The umbrella houseplants must never be allowed to dry out. Apply a half dilution of fertilizer once per month during the growing season and suspend in winter.
