Gintama 702 and Why I’m Still Hoping for a Happy Ending

(while recognizing that there’s high possibility for either Shoyo or Takasugi to die, most likely both, or even worst-case scenario, Gin sacrificing himself to save the both of them)

1. Hijikata still hasn’t made good on the promise Gin made him make at the end of the Farewell Shinsengumi arc, to bring back alcohol for everyone to share

2. The Shinsengumi and Katsura heading to where the Yoruzuya are. In the Farewell Shinsengumi arc, Gin thanks Hijikata for giving him something, the opportunity to have both the things he cared about saved, and I refuse to believe Gin will be forced to make that choice again, between Shoyo and Takasugi or between Shoyo and Takasugi, and Edo. I disagree with Takasugi. It doesn’t have to be a choice between his past and his future for Gintoki. Paraphrasing what Tsukuyo said in regards to Gintoki and what Takasugi said to Shoyo, Gin can make it so Shoyo and Takasugi walks with them again. They have a lot to talk about after all. Gin can make his past part of his present and future.

3. Everything’s different now. Besides Takasugi and Katsura, and also Tatsuma, Gin has Shinpachi and Kagura now, Sadaharu, Otae, the Shinsengumi. Just as the Yoruzuya made it so the Shinsengumi didn’t have to experience what Gintoki experienced in the past, the Shinsengumi can help in making sure it doesn’t happen to Gin again.

4. Shoyo is now human. He’s no longer cursed with immortality. He can live a new life unburdened with nothingness if they make it through this.

5. They just have to solve two things 1.Nullify the Altana going berserk and 2. Nullify Utsuro’s blood within Takasugi

6. I think for the latter, it’ll be Gin and Zura vs. Utsuro/Takasugi paralleling the Benizakura arc, but this time they’re not declaring they’re gonna kill Takasugi, but save him. Definitely, Takasugi will also try to fight Utsuro from the inside. I refuse to believe Shoyo is dead. Hopefully, it’ll be the four of them in the climactic battle, back to the beginning.

7. With Shinpachi, Kagura, and Otae separated from Gin, I think they’ll be the ones regrouping with the Shinsengumi. Perhaps this faction will tackle the Altana problem and/or aid Gin at a crucial moment in the final battle. 

8. I know it’s a longshot, but Kamui and Umibozou haven’t reappeared yet for the final battle while everyone has. Perhaps the key to nullifying Utsuro’s blood lies within the veins of Kamui and Kagura? I know it’s treading headcanon territory, but there has to be a deeper significance to their being the children of an immortal after all, and Sorachi has always been crazy with foreshadowing. Wouldn’t it be poetic if somehow Kamui ends up saving Takasugi? Speaking of, even if there are so few chapters left, still hoping the Kihetai appear. Takasugi never made a proper goodbye, so he shouldn’t die.

Maybe it’s being optimistically hopeful, but I’m still hoping for a happy ending where no one has to be sacrificed again and where Gin can just be surrounded by his family.

I swear i didnt read the spoilers gaaaa no fkiin waaay... O ghad ill donate my heart if umibozou dies here not just umibozou but anyone in his family dies i swear to god .... O kami sama onegai.... Pls guide sorachi in a better way ooooolyy shiiit....

So … Now that I saw the latest raw chapter of gintama

Somebody want ginchan and company to get their asses in the next chapter

But for me I still think that its too early for them to intervene yet. There still so many unanswered question here and all this happening is from kamui’s view point… How about now we see how’s kagura’s view point here… On what she needs to say to his bro. And what she thinks about there tragic past after all she’s so very young on what happen in that day… And if you ask me

I love kamui . and I understand his reasoning and I know he’s so lonely that he can’t help his mother whose about to die… Even his dad don’t know how to save his beloved mom..

But to me the one whose hurt the most is kagura well u see even at a young age she needs to suffer big time . her brother left her and then there father always lives her behind to find cure or something she’s always alone with her dying mom.

So I need kagura’s point of view in this situation and I’m still not satisfied here

So Ill trust sorachi here I know he’ll do something that surprised us :) so we still need to wait ….
