But Death isn't pleased with the hand dealt by Fate to her beloved Merchant and she will tear reality apart to grant the hard won happy ending she believes Toni has earned.

Today is a Bit Not Good

Actually the last good while has been honestly.

So my boss, who is also a very dear friend, dad passed away last night. I've been working a lot of hours so she can be with him. We are surprised he made it through Christmas. Very glad though. He was really coherent and everyone was there. But I'm the only one that she has that had dealt with hospice before with both my grandfather and mom.

It has brought up so much stuff lately though as we've gotten closer to the end. Like I had to stop writing because it got Dark. Like darker than appropriate even for an apocalyptic setting. Which is saying something.

So I've been reading every fluffy happy thing I can get my paws on. If I can't find that aim for Crack Treated Seriously.

So Shout Out to all the writers whose works I've inhaled these last few weeks. Thank you for your fics that allowed my escapism. My sanity and Husband thank you for keeping me mellow.

Seriously. Thank you.

This scene will go somewhere I just don't know where yet...

So I've got a whole section in my plot bullets that's titled this. I've just added a new one but thought I'd share it since I like the headcanon.

This is in Chapter Outline Formatting.

Toni calls up the stairs “Spiderling? What are you doing?”

Only to get the answer of ”No-nothing! I'll be there in a minute!” from Peter.

Toni shares a look. Saying “Yeah no. That's not suspicious as all hell.” as she goes up the stairs in search of her son only to find him in the process of breaking into a safe.

“I can explain mom. It's not like this is the worst thing you've caught me doing.” and Toni can't really say anything to that even as J's code ripples with amusement at the wording of Peter's sentence considering how much she's used that same statement.

“How is it that you've cultivated this skill exactly? And don't say Wade. Lie to me if it was Wade.” Her spiderson is giggling at her now.

“I can honestly say it wasn't Wade this time. I kept locking myself out of the apartment and after the bite my hearing got really good you know? So I was curious and found out I can hear the clicks really easy. Ta-Da! New life skill.”

Toni watches the safe slide open and knows she shouldn't be proud but she really really is.
