Jokes and fun aside, I really like how there is an element of uncanniness in two important relationship moments of 3x05 - Cleo/Dot, and Felix/Bioman.
Dot says they want to be a couple with Cleo - great! Right?? But they are SO cut and dry about it, this new Dot who speaks at normal volume and has no hesitation, and very little demonstration of strong emotion, so is it the same Dot that kissed Cleo before? Does it mean the same thing for them to get together?? Ngl this is everything I hoped for in that it isn't simple and the process of Realization is a tangible change to their dynamic
Meanwhile, Felix and Bioman. Like on the one hand we can define Bioman's personhood as independent & his autonomy his own - this being a major arc for him - and we don't yet have a more detailed look at how he and Felix became involved. And yet, if I was OG Merlin, seeing someone make out with my original physical body that was inhabited by someone who was both not me but also inextricably kind of me, and in some ways a more "innocent" version of me still learning to navigate the world, and after learning they secretly idolized me from even before we met, I would also be pissed off about it. Complicated! We love it!
