// @unascend sent, ❝ so apparently the ‘bad vibes’ i’ve been feeling are actually severe psychological distress. ❞
The look Cameron casts Daniel lasts several moments longer than can be called casual. It’s long enough for him to piece together that his colleague must have spoken with Hotchner, a meeting which Cam had increasingly suspected would never take place. It’s long enough for him to weigh the thoughts that come to mind, to decide to speak that which perhaps he should keep quiet. ❛ Not to speak outta place, but… you did die, ascend to a higher plane of existence, and come back… not to mention literally everything else that’s happened in the last eight years. ❜ He’s read the files, and it’s proven an odd duality he can’t quite adjust to, the knowing that which he did not experience and that which none of them chose consciously to share with him. That it’s all formal record alleviates the intrusiveness only somewhat. ❛ Not all that surprising. ❜
He wants to ask, to know how meeting went, to know not what was discussed but that his friend is alright ( he’ll call Jackson ‘friend,’ whether or not the term would be applied in reverse ). Not his place to pry, though. ❛ I gotta ask, though: I’m figuring you finally spoke with Hotchner… how’d he corner you? ❜ He considers joking that he was starting to consider taking bets on how long it’d take... but that doesn’t seem quite appropriate either.
