“Well, make sure you look your best,” Karen says, in a tone of mock severity. “You never know, you might meet a special girl tonight.” Mike forces a smile, hoping it doesn’t come across as a grimace.
“You never know,” he echoes, before turning away and rolling his eyes. He knows she means well, but… never mind. He’d rather have to deal with such comments from time to time, than have to admit to her that he’s going to a school dance with Will Byers as his date.

It’s finished! Thanks to everyone who has read and supported this story; I’ve had a total blast writing it, and your encouragement has meant the world to me. Enjoy this final chapter!

Ellowin Reese and Ryu the Koromon, from Unbreakable Connection.
It's messed up in a few ways, the most obvious being her neck is way longer than it should be. But oh well, at least it's not tragically short like mine.
ANYWAY LOOKIT THAT ADORABLE KOROMON SMILE. :3
I plan to draw portraits of everyone else too at some point. But I'm not sure if they'll all be at Baby II level when I draw them.
Unbreakable Connection is a concept I've been working on (between other projects, of course) for five years now. I can't tell you how badly I've wanted to share this with people, but I always held myself back. I never felt it was the RIGHT story, the one it was trying to be. So what little I had written, I edited and rewrote and edited and rewrote until it turned into something else, something better, albeit with the same core plot and key details - evil force does stuffnthings, people fighting each other stupidly, main characters were mostly returning but didn't remember because their parents and whatnot convinced them it was all in their imaginations, etc. - and whatever little tidbits still worked. But as of the most recent few times I've dusted this off and worked on it, the characters - there are six main humans, six Digimon partners to go with them, and a slew of main supporting characters, most of which are introduced in the first few chapters - are no longer the same characters I started out with. They've changed for the better over the past five years, just as I have here in the real world. So, their story is finally ready to be a story, and I'm finally ready for you to meet them. Granted, this is still just three chapters - even if it's a total of about 30k words - and I don't know how soon I can crank out the fourth, sadly (although I do have some deleted scenes I plan to post separately very soon!). If people really like this and want to see more, I'll definitely be more motivated, though! That sounds terribly like advertising, but, y'know. Aside from writing more of the story, I'm thinking of posting some character bios and random tidbits over on my writing blog sometime soon, so stay tuned for that! I guess I'll close this with a mild warning: A lot of my writing can be dialogue-heavy most of the time, and Unbreakable Connection is no exception. If that irritates anyone, I'm truly sorry. I do have a side project where I've been trying to work on that, and in some works (like my Zelda fanfic) I'm getting better! But... This one is basically episodes in text form, especially with the huge number of characters, so... Sorry. I can say that in the future, there will be lots more action scenes to thin out the dialogue, but even then, it's a story mostly focusing on the dynamics of all the character relationships with each other, instead of being all about fighting. All that being said, it's my utmost hope that this story brings people enjoyment, makes them think, and makes them feel. If you gave it a shot, please let me know what you think, and maybe what were the parts that you really enjoyed the most. That would mean the world to me. In any case, thanks for reading. PACE~
SO YEAH, disregard that last post! I went ahead and did it all right now because I FORGOT THE LIBRARY DOESN’T CLOSE UNTIL SIX. Which is almost is. That srsly took an hour. NAYWAY ENJOY I LOVE YOU ALL MWAH
i'll take our bonds and hold them tight.
i didn't think we were still so close. it surprises me, really..
but since we are, i'll have to keep a closer eye on my little sister, to pull her in the right direction at times.
you're independent. you're strong. but there's only so much you can do.
take my hand. i'll get you through the flower fields you despise so much..
i promised you that. long ago.
