I decided the permagrin just doesn’t work for him and makes him look too dead inside to have any kind of benefit on his abillity to make friends. Cool, casual, aloof dudes don’t smile all the time! And when they do they give sleepy smiles!
Of course he’s not actually sleepy! He doesn’t sleep. It’s fine.
