I didn’t get to take my medication for two days because there was a problem with my automatic prescription and I have read about tumblr people who have missed medication because of a problem like mine or forgot medication and I never thought how bad it can affect a person.
I have an under active thyroid along with this I have a delayed digestion which delays a bunch of other stuff in turn like my bowels and kidneys it’s all interconnected and I follow people on here who I know have the same thyroid/gut/kidney link but usually if you take the medicine everyday you have no symptoms because you are replacing the hormone your body can’t make.
So I was so fucked off when I went to pick my medication up on the 30th to find it missing something which has led me to the emergency room with fluid build up in my right kidney. Lucky for me there is no damage but the doctor was able to send a message to my doctor asking why I had not been given my medication, her response was ‘a computer error on the new system’
I know it’s not my fault but I feel responsible some how and I’m so pissed my doctor could have really hurt me by not checking my medication. Now I have to miss two days of work while I get sent to London to the endocrinologist to check my thyroid and kidneys again…
What a shit start to the new year
