Enemies to lovers blicket au
In the postwar era, Anglo-American eugenic attention extended to the global population explosion – particularly in what was then called the underdeveloped world. No doubt for some reform eugenicists the rapidly multiplying populations of Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America represented some sort of immense "social problem group". Yet it required no race prejudice to find a good deal that was dysgenic in the proliferation of people in environments that offered inadequate food, housing, education, and medical care.²⁴

Osborn argued that whether the social qualities of children from lower-income homes were in origin genetic, environmental, or some combination of the two, their "relative inadequacy" tended to be handed on to the next generation. these are just my personal observations. I don’t mean to slander or put down any placement <3
🩸 people with mars in the 7th house, you don’t have to be so nice to the ppl who don’t deserve it.
🩸 scorpio moons are/have been really fucking dramatic about everything atleast once in their life. y’all just love the attention 💀
🩸scorpio degrees (8°,20°) on the moon can give major trust issues. y’all don’t trust a single soul
🩸 libra+scorpio in the big three, y’all are really good manipulators. y’all think that you’re right all the time, but that ain’t true.
🩸gemini placements, y’all are smart asf but never ever challenge scorpio or aquarius placements. these guys are fucking geniuses.
🩸 aries moon/mars, having anger issues or being angry all the time doesn’t make you scary, it just makes you a 5 year old baby.
🩸 cancer/libra/gemini placements if underdeveloped, are the best liars. Can be very manipulative and two- faced.
🩸 underdeveloped leo ascendants are SO desperate for attention and can be really be petty and immature.
🩸 capricorn mars, the sex drive you guys have is insane and y’all don’t express it easily. you guys are the SCARIEST when angered like someone please call an ambulance 🚨🚑
🩸people with harsh moon-pluto aspects, you guys are way too intense and you guys have the WORST anger issues like please chill out.
Do you ever think about how Willow might think Amity only became friends with her again to get to Luz? Do you ever think about how what helped them get close again was probably Amity talking about Luz with Willow. Do you ever think about how Amity might be upset that Willow didn’t come to her about her crush on Hunter because that’s probably what got them close again? Do you ever think about how Amity might’ve tried some friendly teasing about her relationship and it actually hurt Willow a lot?
Shadow Weaver/Angella modern AU
Here is an idea for a story, not fully worked out.
Shadow Weaver (obviously I'd have to find a modern name for her) and Angella are two mothers whose kids (very young) go to the same school.
Shadow Weaver: maybe somewhat gothic, very driven at parent evenings, has a bit of a "closed off" reputation, a teacher herself at a university possibly in physics, I am not sure what to do with the scars and dark magic. Does she still have the scars in her face? It could be war wounds but then I, the author, am really out of my depth. Has a daughter, Adora, probably adopted, who has a scruffy cat (a stray she found herself and that her mother was opposed to keeping at first) Catra that has to be part of every adventure she and her best friend Glimmer go on.
Angella: very caring and sweet mother, tall, athletic, has that soft shade of pink hair that was very popular a few years ago (her daughter gives her a hard time about this "mom you're embarassing me", but will haughtily say to other that her mother is a princess hence the hair colour), huge angel wings tattoo, mother to Glimmer. Has a far greater and more loving social group than Shadow Weaver.
I am not sure how to work Bow into this. Maybe they have still to meet him? Or is he also in Angella's care?
So, they are both parents in this day and age. Yep, most likely this is set during covid times. And their children get on like a castle on fire.
They see each other at parents meetings but haven't spent time really talking with each other. They avoid one another at school events, not in a ill-will sort of way but more because they think they wouldn't get on that well, yet at the end of each event they tend to sit together and socialize ( very subdued) since their children are always the last ones standing/most energetic/ and 'don't want to leave' and they are both, though neither will admit it, pretty much pushovers when it comes to their kids.
Angella's impression on Shadow Weaver, as she only sees her at parent events, is that she complains a lot and demands a lot from a.o. the teachers and fellow parents. Shadow Weaver cares LOADS about education.
This is the set-up.
In comes covid time. After a while at home (and boredom) Angella has this habit of getting cosy in her sofa and sending some simple messages aka heart emojies and love you's to friends and family to keep her spirits up. (in which Angella is me :p)
(you see where this is going)
Ergo one time she accidentally (on purpose?) sends one to that woman she barely knows, Shadow Weaver. Who promptly replies with a love you too.
Over long long covid time some sparse parent events take place at which they sometimes meet but still never really speak. Angella knows nothing changes between them (or let's herself believe that).
Their children plead for play afternoons at each other's houses so that becomes one of few importantly scheduled outings. Their kids of course are very bad at the stopping with playing. Once when Angella is waiting to take Glimmer home, Shadow Weaver takes out a deep red wine for the both of them. That first time Angella refuses a glass since she has to get going and needs to get up early the next morning. She already forgot what she had to get up for, when she later reflects on this moments and regrets having left one of few social interactions she actually had that month.
It is at Shadow Weaver's house that Angella finds out that she is a teacher herself in a very advanced field with more adult students. She tells herself she does not really need to know more about Shadow Weaver but suddenly really wants to/wants her.
I hope that later on they do break out the wine more often. :D
Angella is always surprised that Shadow Weaver is so much shorter than her.
Our girls continue to sometimes (and sometimes often and a lot) send each other heart messages, but again are perfectly the same as before when they see each other 'for real'. Though I imagine Shadow Weaver will be the first to start lingering around her.
There is a time before a scheduled something where they know they will see each other that Shadow Weaver sends her a small heart almost daily, Angella recognizes this as Shadow Weaver gathering up her courage this way. Angella gives her as much time as she needs.
Angella takes out champagne when they (their kids) meet up at her house again.
The kids playing!: these are very important pieces of the story of course. They have different favourite games. They also often make use of their moms to either play a role or provide them with plot.
They play in a medieval setting with magic, where they are the princesses. Glimmer wants to be rebels. And there is an evil overlord who holds mom (Angella) captive and Glimmer is going to save her. The plan was first to save Adora from the Evil Overlord's sorceress which of course had to be Shadow Weaver, but Adora was not keen on being the prisoner, she is hero material, so they had to find a replacement. And of course(when they play this in Shadow Weaver's garden) while Glimmer and Adora plan the cat has to play along too and be an entire character, but she always runs the wrong way, gets lots in 'the enemy camp' and gets hostile at the wrong moments. Angella saves the cat in the end from having to play with them.
I guess both familie live at rather modern and stylised looking homes so... space adventures! Many of them. Those are Glimmer's favourites. And Adora's mom can/has to help with the science. This occurs very often. She clearly had done this before. Probably tells Adora space theories and such before bed when she is not in the mood for a storybook.
But mom tends to be off to see to her garden/the roses. Glimmer gets her every time they need her, dragging her along by her sleeve.
Shadow Weaver and Angella, while the kids are playing and summer time is there, drink tea in the garden. And somewhere from the house ( this my notes say) the song "There is a fire between us, so where is your god? SPAAAAACEEMAAAAAN" is playing and Glimmer and Adora are scream-singing along.
Yes, it all ends in FLUFF romance and happily ever after.
Their first kiss is probably hidden in passing at a parents sans kids event.
Okay, a common opinion on Miraculous Ladybug is that if it were made for teens, it would be a better show.
I wholeheartedly disagree. MLB is simply poorly written. Many of the problems that the show faces wouldn’t ultimately be fixed with a change of the targeted demographic
If the show were aimed for teens the show would still have...
Unnecessary filler episodes (Gigantitan)
Under utilized characters (Marc and Nathaniel)
Underdeveloped characters (Chloe)
Dragged out romances (Adrinette)
Whitewashed characters (Pegasus)
Racist stereotypes (Kung Food)
Chloe being racist
Miraculous Ladybug has a lot of potential, and they are taking advantage of it in the fourth season. However, shifting the focus from children to teens doesn’t make a show great.
There are many shows, books, movies, etc. that were made for children that are amazing because they had good writing and execution, not because teens were the focus in its creation.
For example
Percy Jackson and the Olympians
Avatar the Last Airbender
The Mitchells vs. The Machines
Raya and the Last Dragon
So, I just wanted to say that as a Miraculous Ladybug fan, the show could be a lot better. However, changing demographic won’t fix that. Better writing and using the stories and characters to reach their potential will.
He is eating rat nuggets a bit now and drinking water, big claps and applause for this gentleman.. 👏👏👏
