Though to himself Trundle's thoughts on Cheri are straight-forward and blunt, they are in truth somewhat contradictory.

Despite his perspective on other species - especially humans - he sincerely cares for Cheri with a surprisingly large chunk of his heart. Sadly, even with that, the King's naturally selfish nature still gets in the way; everything he does for her will always benefit himself in some way or form no matter how big or small.

In the end, Cheri will never be put before himself in importance. She will, though, be viewed close to his equal, almost as though she were a fellow troll.
