BOOM it’s my Rayman headcanons nobody asked for!
Teensies (especially the Grand Minimuses) are HUGE fans of the arts. There are several stage adaptations of Rayman’s adventures (the looser/weirder plots like the GBA Rayman 3 and Hoodlums’ Revenge being results of extreme creative liberties), and there’s a Wicked-esque retelling of Rayman 3’s events starring Globox and André. (Globox probably helped write at least a small part of it to help Andy’s reputation.)
Speaking of the GBA Rayman 3, I interpret it to be what Globox told his wife and kids to make himself look more heroic. Granted, he doesn’t play as important of a role there as he does in the console Rayman 3, but he thinks being saved from Razorbeard is at least a little better than being dragged all over the world to go to the doctor.
After realizing his hands were what scared André into existence, Rayman now tapes them together before bed to keep them from scampering off. Globox tried un-taping them a few times to see if he could get Andy back, but to no success.
Uglette, Ly, and Betilla founded a book club after the events of Rayman 2 to create a mental/emotional support system for anyone who needed it. Between the books, snacks, and good company, pretty much everyone in the Glade has attended book club at least once.
Despite Reflux shattering in Rayman 3’s finale, his spirit remained because he siphoned so much power from the Leptys and ascended to become a minor god of violence and revenge. He is often avoided and regarded as more of a beast than a deity, but there are a small handful of Knaaren who broke off from their brethren to worship him.
The reason why plum juice is specifically used to create his clone in Hoodlums’ Revenge is because alcohol is traditionally a holy offering often used in communions, and it’s very accessible to the Hoodlums thanks to them mass-producing it in their heyday. The Infernal Machine was heavily based on blueprints of the Horrible Machine, using the energy of Lums and the apparently-sacred plum juice to siphon the Glade’s energy and make more Hoodlums while they waited for the clone to be completed.
According to the lore of Rayman Origins, “Lum” is usually pronounced “loom”, like “illumination”. In Rayman 3, the Teensies suggested pronouncing it like “luhm” to refer to Black Lums and set them apart from pure ones, deriving it from the word “umbral”. Black Lums being unintelligent was an unfortunate coincidence that resulted in most people thinking it was based on “dumb”.
Globox being smarter upside-down isn’t exclusive to Rayman 3. While Razorbeard had him hanging off the ledge of the Crow’s Nest, Globox was offering him legitimate advice for improving his marriage. If Globox consistently had that intelligence and confidence, he could be a very successful counselor, but he’s just happy being an emotional support frog for his friends and family.
The Teensies gave Murfy the Manual because they thought it would get him to stop bragging about how much stuff he knows about the Glade, trying to humble him by making his knowledge pale in comparison to the Manual’s extensive records. This backfired horrendously. Murfy now knows about everything about everyone, even kind of enjoying his rivalry with the Manual, and he makes it everyone’s problem.
