Okay, but, what if in that genocide route if Patrick only gets control during the fight with Pete because Chara wants that to happen? Chara is doing that to rub it in Patrick's face. To guilt him in a way like "/YOU/ weren't strong enough. /YOU/ killed them all. /YOU/ couldn't control me. It's all /YOUR/ fault! Even Pete wants to kill /YOU/!". That would probably completely break Patrick's will to fight.

During the genocide run, I imagine that Patrick would make the first kill on accident. Like, a froggit just jumps at him and he instinctively just hits it. He feels horrible at first, but then it actually feels great, like he NEEDS to get rid of all of the monsters.

Yeah! Part of me feels like it’d be an OFF style thing until Chara took over completely? Like he thinks he’s “cleansing” the underground or smth. But by the time he realizes what he’s been doing, Chara has control and it’s too late.
