Artist Lost in History Club?

He tilted his head at her as his emerald hues watched each item she pulled from her pack. It was strange to him how she seemed to be completely unaware that this was a club room. Maybe she didn’t realize it? Despite the various shelves of history book, movies, posters and maps. There was actually even a small snack station that the club president had gotten approval for. It was a cozy room with a couch and some piles of pillows as well. The club members had made sure to make it a comfortable place for them.

“Are you a foreign exchange student by any chance?” This was the only possible explanation as to why she seemed to be completely confused to why he asked her if she needed any help. He was the only club member here and since he had no idea who she was he had initially thought she was looking to join the club. But now that she has unpacked her bag like one would at home... that didn’t seem to be the case. “If you’re looking for the art club... It’s actually down the hall. I hear it’s an artist’s heaven....” He nodded his head towards the sketchpad she had out. Was his only hint to her being a possible artist rather than a history enthusiast.

Kathy was walking amongst the people during the middle if the day. It was a busy day in the town centre but she didn't mind that, she was welcoming a well earned break from her duties. She was also quite happy as she could watch children play and couples share their love with each other. She walked along silently as she watched over them all, even though she was on a break she couldn't help herself.

“Psh, you worry too much! Haven’t ya ever heard words of the greats? ‘Fortune favors the bold?’ ‘Brave women are better than gold?’ Ya only live once?” 

She scoffs, only pausing when the rotten shutters of the second-floor window shudder in her grasp, adjusting her footholds. “I wanna see if there’s anything interesting on the third floor and the stairwell is collapsed. You got a better idea?”

While speaking, she’d turn halfway away from the condemned old house.. leaning farther back to look down at him, almost as though teasing what she took for concern.
