Replacing windows in the home is often a great way to improve the energy efficiency of the home. However, in making the decision to replace the windows there are many hard decisions which must be made such as how much to spend, what product is best for your home and also what will happen as the project progresses forward. In order to understand and feel comfortable with the process, American Exteriors has put together a few suggestions in a three part series on the the energy efficient replacement window process.

How will the windows be disposed of and is there a fee?

Is the exteriors trim included in the price or added as an extra cost.

Who will remove all of the materials and waste which may accumulate?

Does the price include permit fees?

Does the project require city permits?

Will there be a final inspection?

How will the final bill be taken care of?

Is there a warranty?

Who is my person of contact if I have a question?

What time frame will my project be completed? Replacing the windows in your home with an energy efficient replacement window is a great project which will go smoothly if you are prepared. Make sure that you ask questions such as these to be as informed as possible.
