BnB Blue? 👀
You had to admit the heated pool is nice. Especially during this chilly winter season. You knew time and seasons didn’t pass the same as it did in…a linear plane or universe. But sometimes the Innkeeper liked to indulge in certain seasons during holidays.
You had stayed here long enough to know generally everyone in the main staff, albeit not super closely. Just enough to recognize them by face and name.
Floating around in the pool you sweep your gaze across the inside of the glass walls surrounding the area. Stretch, or Sid, as he likes to be called now lounged in the lifeguard chair by the pool side. You make brief eye contact before continuing your scan.
After a full rotation you conclude that Sid’s brother- Blue, who also goes by Wes, is indeed not here.
You sink lower in the water, a little glum. You quite enjoyed his energy and vibe. It’s a shame he wasn’t here. Maybe he was on break.
You continue your swim for a few more minutes, letting the water almost lazily pull you around without too much effort on your end. Perfectly avoiding anyone else in the water. Eventually you decide to get out, lest you shrivel up anymore and become an ultra human raisin.
You slosh ur way out of the water awkwardly as one does when walking up the ramp in a pool. As you finally make it out and walk along the edges of the pool to your towel, an overly eager child bounds past you, their pool noodle hanging over their shoulder thwacking you in the face.
You yelp, eyes instinctively closing at the impact, making your feet shuffle back. The marble under you suddenly seems entirely too slippery, and you feel yourself almost pull a muscle trying to regain your balance but it’s too late, momentum was already pulling you down.
Curse you gravity.
Uh...gravity? Where are you?
Smooth clay textured arms have caught yours, stopping your face from smashing into a certain someone’s ribcage.
“are you alright?!”
You blink up at your hero, the very skeleton you were just looking for. This up close you can see the individual rings in his eyelights, the light emitted from them highlight the porous freckles on his cheek bones.
“hello?”
You snap back to reality, face warm with embarrassment realizing you’ve been enjoying his embrace entirely too long, ogling all the while.
“Sorry sorry!” You straighten up, leaning back but his hold stays firm on your arms as he smiles a wide gap tooth grin. “No worries! Catching people who can’t help but fall into my arms is my specialty!”
Oh stars, this was embarrassing.
