Question to those going to Atlantale

Where are you guys staying?  It’s only a few months off, so I’d like to go ahead and book my hotel room (going to get there on Friday and stay ‘til Sunday morning), but I also wanna book a hotel that other con-goers will be at.  Plus, it’d be fun to hang out, ya’know?  

It looks to me like the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel is the closest one; it’s only two blocks away.    Nevermind, it’s booked.  Dammit.  Guess that’s where most people are staying.  

I’m definitely going to walk to the con from the hotel because I imagine parking’s going to be a nightmare.  

I think I’m going to book the Courtyard by Marriott because it’s only four blocks away.  

Anyone booked their hotel room yet?

I promised a few people I’d make a Tumblr blog and actually stick with it, and I’m nothing if not a bartending fireman of my word!

I had an absolute blast at Atlantale as both an artist and a bone-ified bartending (grill)bae!! I don’t want to just copy-paste from my facebook post where I got pretty sentimental about how cool Undertale and its fans really are, but I will reiterate how amazing it was to get to go and both see my close friends in person for the first time and also share some of my art and passion. Thank you all for making this an event to remember, and here’s to a lifetime of amazing things done in honor of such a loving community.

If you picked up one of my annoying dog coloring pages and colored it in, I’d love to see it!!!

Does any one now some undertale/batim conventions coming up 2017-2018???

It needs to be somewhat near virginia, cause my mom is more than likely not gonna take me to one across the country

Atlanta UT Con

We are starting to learn about this Undertale convention that might be happening in Atlanta in 2018. We are seriously considering trying to go.

We have always dreamed of an Undertale con ever since we heard about them in other countries and the idea of one being in the USA... We just about lost our minds. It would probably  first out of state con, and a lot of budgeting would have to happen.

But if it happens, who also is thinking about going?

WELP, I TRIED (no UT Fan Convention next year).

Over the summer I have been thinking about possibly running an Undertale Fan Convention in MI (it would have been next year), and I took the steps yesterday to begin the planning process, which involved first contacting the creator to get his approval. Sadly enough after a few interactions he said no, which honestly I am not all that surprised about, but it kind of was upsetting to still be turned down especially with my clear outline of plans and going on 7 years of convention running/planning (he had good reasons though, and I deeply respect him and his reasoning for saying no).

So to anyone I had discussed the dream of running an UT fan convention with over the summer, I am sorry. I did try, and I had such good plans for it, but sometimes things in life don’t work out in our favor. P.S. If this note happens to get reblogged around a lot I would like to say this... Please let’s all take a moment to think about toxicity in a fandom, and the next time we find ourselves maybe doing something toxic or posting something toxic, pause and take a moment before you do so.  The saying goes “This is why we can’t have nice things”, and I have a feeling Mr. Fox may be reeling a bit from the toxicity in the UT fandom, which ultimately is not ok. Let’s all show the monsters we can act better as humans. <3 P.S.S. While Shuto Con (www.shutocon.com) may not have an Undertale theme this year (Magical Girls is our theme), I still always welcome all the UT cosplayers there with open arms! In March we had a MASSIVE UT photoshoot, and I hope to top it in 2017!

UNDERTALE ONLY CON!

Hey did you know that a group in Korea is planning to hold a convention for Undertale fans?? I’ve been seriously considering going because it sounds like a wild adventure! So I’ve been digging up information and chatting with the organizers, and I wanted to lay some things out for other English-speaking fans who might be curious :)

The convention will be held in Seoul, Korea. They are still refining the details, but it will either be held on January 14th or January 21st, 2017. Their twitter account is the main source of info and updates: https://twitter.com/UT_ONLY

While the event is (obviously!) Korean, the organizers do speak English and there will be English-speaking staff to help. They are hoping to attract fans from around the world :D There will be artists and cosplay! I think general attendance tickets are going on sale sometime in July.

The group is taking great care to do this well… they’ve been in contact with Toby to clarify what he will permit for fan-produced merchandise, they’ve been contacting AU artists to clarify their permission for art based on their AUs. It’s a difficult thing to do and I’m really impressed with how hard they are working for the love of the game. They even require that anyone selling or cosplaying must have purchased the game and played several hours! (to ensure only true fans are attending).

I don’t know more information than this…. (sorry!!) but I will share additional details when I get them.  Man, I really want to goooooooooooo! XD
