Here’s the first post related to Undertale Delta on here. This is what Asriel Dreemurr looks like in the AU (or at least for a good portion of the story). I probably will redraw this and maybe give it a slight redesign, but I’ll do that at another time. Before moving onto the notes, I’ll talk about more about this AU. In another time and place, Asriel Dreemurr gave into Chara’s suggestion of fighting back against the humans attacking him in the village on the surface. Though he fought back, he tried his best to not kill any humans or harm them significantly. When he created a wall of fire to separate himself from the humans, he took the chance to flee. Without the other human SOULS to break the barrier, their plan failed. Still, Asriel was alive and Chara was still present inside of him. Years pass, and Asriel is now a young teen. During one morning, he finds that everyone in the Underground has disappeared. As he wanders around looking for clues, he encounters a mysterious figure. He chases after them and ends up in a deeper, darker part of the Underground. The figure introduces themselves as the Knight and attacks Asriel as he tries to escape. He ends up in an empty town, and this is where the adventure truly begins, Now, he must travel throughout the Dark Underground to stop the Chaos King, save his people (and parents), and solve the mystery behind the Knight all while old memories of a nearly forgotten friend resurface.
- Asriel’s facial markings are red because it represents how Asriel’s SOUL is now a fusion between his monster SOUL and Chara’s red human SOUL (plus, I have the headcanon that Asriel had black facial markings in his boss fight was due to him having the 6 human SOULS and the monster SOULS mixing together).
- The collar and shoulder pads are more directly based on Asriel’s powered up form from the first phase of his boss fight.
- The heart-shaped locket links the two shoulder pads together. The heart locket reverts to its normal form when Asriel changes into his causal outfit.
- Slightly above the side view is a better look as the tuffs of fur on Asriel's cheeks/sides of his face.
- Asriel's eye shape is based on his sprites (undertale-resources.tumblr.com…) and this sepia artwork from the game (vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/un…).
- The fireball Asriel is casting is based on the fire attacks the Dreemurrs use in Undertale.
- The robe/tabard is even more directly based on his powered up design from Undertale. The cape is very loosely based on his wings when he’s the Absolute God of Hyperdeath (maybe his cape can even turn into wings).
- The length of his robe is based on Toriel's sprites and Ralsei's sprites. Also, color scheme of the robe is based on Dogbomber’s design of Asriel’s first boss form.
- Though not shown, Asriel wears pants that go up to his knees underneath his robe. He also wears a green shirt with a yellow stripe underneath.
- Asriel's hair is loosely based on Ralsei's hair when seen in side view (deltarune.wikia.com/wiki/File:…).
- Asriel found the outfit in the Castle at Castle Town/Empty Town. Since it’s somewhat old, it’s a bit faded and worn down. Still, it’s functional enough to work as combat gear. The shoulder pads were a bright gold before the events of the story.
- The SOUL is upside down in his body and right-side up when in battle. That's what I'm going with for now.
- Asriel is about 14 years old here, as evident by his horns starting to grow in. Asriel was around the 8 - 12 range when he absorbed Chara's SOUL and placed their body on the golden flowers at the village on the surface.
