My first attempt trying pixel art. I like how Bailey (the human) turned out but I got alooooot of work to do on my spriting so I can make the other two look good. But I feel relatively good with how pixel art works. This was entirely just me bullshitting so I'll watch some like actual tutorials and stuff and hopefully I'll be able to get my own style in there more. I was trying to copy Undertale's artstyle but I don't know for sure if that'll be what I want to do in my fangame or if I want to have a more detailed game.
Undertale Purple Character Designs
The first few people you'd meet. Obviously you have the human, our adorable little vessel main character. And then we got the two main monsters for the first area of the game, the Sage and Inara. Their home is an abandoned citadel in the ruins that has been repurposed into a library.
I may or may not be thinking about making an undertale fangame for the purple soul's journey through the underground. Caveat that I dont know what the fuck I'm doing and just focusing on the story of it right now but I have designed the human and the main driving force of the plot.
General vibe of it will be about going through the underground trying to research and discover everything you can. I'm brainstorming if there's any unique way I can use the check mechanic. Like maybe you don't actually know anything about monsters until you've encountered them and done different things? I dont know yet lol, mechanics have only been briefly thought of.
I can't post the doodles and notes I've done because it's spoilery but I'll make something that can be shown soonish
Small change in scenery
One of the worst things about doing a game is that you have to constantly rewrite things because you realize that everything sucks ass ever 3 months until you get something you're satisfied with 2 years in.
