psst hey lynx! o/ (you can answer this privately) i'm not exactly a regular editor on the UTDR wikis but i am in the wiki sphere and know the staff there, so this is on that behalf i suppose. it occurred to me that some people still might not know about the utdr wikis moving (they've moved off fandom, btw - undertale.wiki & deltarune.wiki now) and you're a rather well known artist in the fandom who's also very reachable, so it maaay be possible for you to get a bit of word out about it?

all good if not of course! i was thinkin it could help if you just make a post about it, or include a quick sentence abt it in the next eldritchrune comic post (though that may be a bit much idk, it is just a thought), or whatever - but i don't want to be imposing here, you only have to do this if you want to |D

I hope you're okay with me just responding publicly to do so, because yes, it's important to know that the wikis have moved! I do remember changing my bookmarks for both when they did, and I'm SO glad they moved off of Fandom, because navigating those sites was just obnoxious as heck.

The Undertale and Deltarune wikis have moved off of Fandom

Exactly what it says in the tin - the UT and DR Wikis have forked from Fandom, just in time for chapters 3 and 4. New URLs are undertale.wiki and deltarune.wiki respectively.

If you want to support the new wikis, do these things:

Change any links to the fandom wikis to the new ones. This helps the new wikis get higher up in the search results

Install the Indie Wiki Buddy extension, which automatically redirects you to an indepentent wiki if one exists for a certain topic. In fact, their changelog is how I found out that the new wikis existed

Don't know how practice this is, but wouldn't it be great if the UT/DR wikis moved off of fandom?

I'm an adblocker user so thankfully I dont need to deal with fandom's hellscape on desktop, but it sounds horrible for those who dont use blockers.

Like, I never even knew that that fandom tried to make AI generated quick answers that fandoms could not turn off... That sounds horrific! (In fact the examples shown in this video are horrific!)

It's interesting, when we take into account his fanboy crush on Mettaton. Because Mettaton was a ghost. But... nobody's supposed to know that.

On the other hand...

The name of the house is "hapstablook," indicating that Mettaton's name actually WAS "Hapstablook" (apparently, Papyrus misspelled it with 2 p's).

Take Papyrus Seriously: Does he actually know Mettaton was a ghost? And how does he know when no one else does???

Ok, I'm gonna rant. But for anyone getting into Undertale AUs, for the love of all that is holy, stay out of UTAU wiki!

Here's why!

It isn't created by the creators, meaning a lot of time it's headcannon and fannon adaptations with a little cannon. As a treat. So, lets take for example, the RT! Sans wiki-

I've been reading and keeping up with RT for a long while now, and at one point it was a hyperfixiation of mine. So I can tell you, as far as I know- his personality is wwwwaaaayyyyy off. Death, or commonly called Reaper, is not Crazy or suicidal. He's Nihilistic and Apathetic, or was until he meets Life. I highly recommend you get into RT first since it's on going and Ren doesn't post a lot so it's easy to find everything, however, let me tell you. Almost all of that information isn't right, It's not stated in cannon that Death is some coffee addicted, crazy, suicidal man. Also prettttyyyy sure he has his soul intact. The only thing I can think that they might be talking about is the RT! Chara accident, in which Death, if I remeber correctly, accidentally hesitates because the determination Chara wad emitting was far to strong. Initially Papyrus was supposed to be the one to reap Chara, but that didn't work. Death was the only God capable to do the job, and even he messed up. He hesitated.

But anyways, you can tell that this has no real cannon indication. There is very little information that is right, and it isn't the only one, like Aftertale- which I mean I don't even know man it's whack. Point is, Look it up here or on DA. Most the time you can find what you are looking for. I know that some of the AUs belong to the community, but I'm sure you can find some decent description on Tumblr or literally anywhere else.

If you wanna share anything or correct anything go ahead! Just remeber to stay of the wiki and look for the creators instead. Or at the very least the community.
