Undertale: Requiem

I wrote a little something for the Undertale anniversary coming up.

Asriel didn't think the black would last so long. The darkness. The silence. The cold. The void was full and empty all at once. It echoed. Vibrated around him. Everything was numb. He walked onwards. It was best just to fall into the rhythm and not think at all. Thinking led to feeling. And for the first time, Asriel didn't want to feel. Doubts. Doubts filled him. He should have stayed. He wouldn't have felt anything if he stayed. He made the wrong decision and now there was nothing he could do about it and the void was so vast a large and he was so empty inside and they- A sob escaped his lips. don't think don't think don't think. don't think about them. His hands shook. He walked faster. The thoughts returned. Faster. He ran. He ran to nowhere. Hot tears streamed down his cheeks and they burned against his skin. It burned it burned it burned it burned until everything was burning and he could feel nothing else. he let go and he fell He fell from grace and through the many layers of his soul, through black and gray and white and dark and light and through the finality of a world and a mind left suffering and broken. Until there nothing at all. -- And Asriel was fine with that.
