if that anon is talking about books, "love in the time of global warming" has a character who's pansexual. she never calls herself that, but that's probably the label she'd go for. (there's also a trans character and two gay guys)
here you go, anon
hey, i was wondering if you have some YA recs for me? i read pretty much all the good ones i could find over the past few months and now i don't know what to read. i'd say i've read most of the ~obvious ones, but, yeah, just, hit me with whatever you've got? thank you <3
idk what you’ve read so far, so i’ll just throw everything at you that i’ve read in the past year that was YA that i liked:
1. the perfectionists & the good girls, by sara shepard2. dark metropolis & glittering shadows, by jaclyn dolamore3. my summer of love, by helen cross (lmao if you know of a certain ‘50s crime, this story will seem very familiar. also, it’s nothing like the movie.)4. the accident season, by moira fowley-doyle5. vanished, by e.e. cooper6. black iris, by leah raeder7. the crimson ribbon, by katherine clements8. honey girl, by lisa freeman9. choker, by elizabeth woods10. vicious little darlings, by katherine easer
and some faves that i always rec, just in case:
1. lies we tell ourselves, by robin talley2. far from you, by tess sharpe3. prep school confidential (trilogy), by kara taylor4. dangerous girls, by abigail haas (another ripped from the headlines type story, but you won’t see it right away.)5. i swear, by lane davis6. cahill witch chronicles (trilogy), by jessica spotswood7. dare me, by megan abbott (did you know they’ve making a tv show based on this???!!)8. code name verity, elizabeth wein9. the engelsfors trilogy, by mats strandberg & sara elfgren10. fury, by shirley marr11. hex hall (trilogy), by rachel hawkins12. gone (series), by michael grant13. private (series) & privilege (series), by kate brian (the most delicious of guilty pleasures and dripping with lesbian subtext!)14. gemma doyle trilogy, by libba bray15. the basic eight, by daniel handler16. chronicles of prydain, by lloyd alexander (this was j.k. rowling’s biggest inspiration for hp.)17. the evil friendship, by vin packer (SHAMELESSLY RIPPED FROM THE HEADLINES LIKE A LESBIAN PULP FICTION EPISODE OF LAW & ORDER, THIS IS THE REAL DEAL HERE THIS IS LEGIT OLD SCHOOL LESBIAN PULP FICTION)
oh thank god. everything about it was terrible, but the relatioship made me feel so fucking uncomfortable. the one character raised so many red flags abusive behaviour wise. i just needed someone to share my hate with lmao
lmao yeah, everyone i know hates that book!
okay, so, i know you read a lot of YA and i was just wondering if you've read "keeping you a secret"? and if you did, did you find it as terrible as i did?
ugh god i read it years ago
i fucking hated it

underthegreensward replied to your post: just lost...
it probably was tbh. from a certain point on the fic seemed very rushed, maybe they couldn’t wait to hit people in the face with their brilliant idea lmao
yeah, i think during chapter 3 it started to lose its way, and then chapter 4 started and i sort of checked out and just skimmed through it, catching that part with lexa, anya and tequila and was like wtf is this?
it’s a shame, cause i remember this author from my skins days and was all excited to see she’d written for the 100, but now unfortunately i’m gonna be wary of her work lol

just lost a couple of hours of my life reading...
i feel u, i feel u (it’s not even like that part of the story makes any sense, like??)
seriously, it was like the author changed their mind halfway through (and i think that genuinely might have been the case). so weird and rushed :/
hey, happy birthday! i hope you had a great day :)
thank you! :)
