To be serious for a moment — based on how the story played out, if they were Eldians, Riftan would have joined the Yeagerists without hesitation. Just so Maxi’s life wouldn’t be threatened by Marley.

It’s honestly such a relief that they don’t belong in that kind of world. Knowing Maxi’s personality, if Riftan joined the Survey Corps, she would’ve recklessly tried to join too. Just to stay by his side, no matter the danger.

But according to canon, she’s terrible at anything athletic, so she probably wouldn’t even make it through the entrance tests.
