Underturf Summary - Snowdin Part 1
After Frisk leaves the underground, she encounters Sans outside on blue territory. He does the handshake thing except it’s a hand buzzer and it nearly kills you by knocking your health down a good chunk. Convo starts. Depending on your shirt, Sans comments on it. Either, “Are you trying to get killed?” or “I see you’re sporting team colors. Nice choice.” He warns you about the reds. As you pass the spaced bars that Papyrus built so long ago (the wood is rotting), you notice that the snow starts to have a bluish tint. As if someone spray painted it or something. You hide behind the conveniently shaped lamp as his brother Papyrus comes up on neutral ground and tries to get Sans to join his side. Sans refuses, but offers his brother a deal. Join his side instead. Papyrus says no. The conversation may go something like this.
“Brother.“
“Bro. Come to negotiate again?”
“Of course Sans, otherwise I wouldn’t be so close to Rebel territory.”
“So what’s it this time?” Sans asks, although he knows the answer is the same as the other hundred times.
“Join the Merciless, and we’ll end this together.”
“How about you join team NotAFuckingMurderingSquad? We’ve got hot dogs.“
“But we have my delicious spaghetti!”
“Yes, but we’ve got Grillby’s.”
“That stuff rots your insides!”
“Kinda too late for that, bro with us being skeletons n’ all.”
“Don’t get smart with me, Sans.”
“It’s okay if you don’t got the stomach for it, more for us.”
Outside of a bush pops Mettaton, filming a scene for the underground equivalent of World Star.
Papyrus initiates the battle and it goes with Sans dodging and throwing these really lame attacks until a wild bone from Papyrus shatters the lamp. You’re exposed. Papyrus is shocked. He tries to attack but is too excited. “Oh my gosh Undyne will be so proud of me! A real human! The final soul!” He pauses. “And she’s wearing blue!” He stamps his foot angrily. “Nevertheless, I will capture you human.”
“A human!? Oh my goodness! My ratings are gonna soar!”
Sans bends down, picks up some snow and throws it at the camera, covering the lens.
“Hey!”
He throws one at Mettaton, who is knocked back into the bush.
Sans also chucks one at Papyrus, before yelling out for Frisk to run and meet him ahead. You pass a sentry station that has a couple of weird gadgets behind it, along with a few bottles of barbecue sauce.
Up ahead, you run into a fork and end up going left because of some reason, I don’t know yet. Left is a dead end, with there being nothing but a fishing pole in sticking out of the icy river. But it’s okay because this Sans is actually there for you and does what he promised he would. He says don’t worry because he has a shortcut, and fucking walks you both to the right and you’re in his damn workshop.
