I came up with most of these last night while talking to @slytherindeathscythe. Mostly about my au. Warnings: suicide mention, death mention, and a lot of spoilers about the True Lab.

“I dedicate this broadcast to my darlings right here, Carlos and Alphys! Without them, I wouldn’t be here at all, let alone on this stage!”
Carlos just freezing up at the phrase “I dedicate this broadcast to… Carlos” and just staring forwards and mumbling “Alphys I gotta get to the surface, my boyfriend’s up there–!”
Alphys mumbles “At least you have a boyfriend – Go to him, Carlos. He needs you. Besides, King ASGORE is really nice. Just ask him to let you go through, he’ll be fine with it. I’ll go with if you want!”
Undyne getting upset because “Doctor Alphys! That’s a HUMAN!”
“Y-yeah? He… he’s my friend!"
"Alphys, please I can fend for myself, don’t stand up for me–”
“C-carlos, now isn’t the time.”
“Alphys–!”
Undyne trying to fight Carlos and Carlos just dodges all of the attacks and runs away. Alphys just awkwardly stands there and watches Undyne chase him.

Just Undyne chasing Carlos in the background and Alphys just on her phone and that
Also I want to draw Carlos looking at Mettaton and seeing a bit of Cecil in him
And just “UHHHH Carlos you’re staring, darling. Is there something in my teeth? I mean, I love the attentiveness,but the look on your face… dear, are you…?”
“No, Metta. I’m fine. I’m perfectly fine. I’m just missing someone.”
“Ahh, but don’t fear, Carlos! I’m here for you now!”
“Thank you. It means a lot to me. I’m just going to go finish your other leg.”
“Oh, fabulous! I just hope it’s as perfect as the first!”
“Ah, no. It’s more perfect.”
“Amazing!”
Also. The true lab incident. Carlos and Alphys making the amalgamates together on accident. Alphys nearly trying to commit suicide. Carlos having to talk her down.
Carlos and Alphys both shattering when they find out how badly their experiment went and blaming themselves and never telling anyone.
Mettaton being the only thing that keeps them working as a team instead of tearing apart to try and distance from the experiment
Also… when Cecil gets possessed by the smiling god. Right after Kevin’s Genocide run. Cecil shoving a knife against Kevin’s heart and telling him “there are two choices, Kevin dear. Lie about who I am. Or die.”
The smiling god having full control just like he did over Kevin
Cecil being forced to slaughter Carlos and Mettaton and Alphys
Carlos only fighting him because he killed Alphys and Mettaton and just trying to talk him down and Cecil keeps catching his coat on his slashes which reduces Carlos’s defense
Kevin finding Sans at the end and “Sans, help, I need to stop Cecil!”
“why are you back here? i thought you learned better last time. you reset the world. you’re different now. you’re afraid.”
“I was possessed. A thing called the Smiling God, it got my brother, can I fight by your side?”
“why not reset now? it wont make a difference anyways. the world always gets reset somehow. over and over.”
“You remember the past timeline. I remember it too. No one else seems to.”
“no one else is a retired physicist.”
“Woah. Nice.”
Slamming doors.
“He’s here.”
“no dip.”
“Hello, Kevin! Hello, Sans! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Ah, I can tell you know, don’t you, Sans? I’m not sure if it’ll be easy for you to kill your old friend. Or dear Kevin, your brother? All for what’s inside… my, my. I thought you would know that it won’t make a difference how many times you kill me. I’ll always return with these two. Again and again. You’ll befriend them and kill them. Watch as they kill those who trust them. Over and over. My, it never does grow old… Especially that one scientist. Dark skin, nice hair… Carlos. Ah, yes, Carlos. He always reacts funny to these two. Always talking, thinking it’ll make a change… never does, does it? Words aren’t good weapons. Or are they?”
Before he finishes Cecil lunged to stab Kevin. Sans stops him, and throws him to the side.
“this is my friend. the actual human. he’s real. he’s just what he should be, without your vileness in him. and that man, he would love to be the same. without your LOVE.”
Cecil and Mettaton on Mettaton’s show together and Cecil having to duck and dodge attacks but the most he does is grab Mettaton’s arm and flip him once and he realizes that doesn’t do anything but the crowd loves it
Cecil and Mettaton having a fight on live TV and Carlos running in yelling “METTATON FOR THE GLOW CLOUDS SAKE I HAVE TOLD YOU NOT THAT HU–” before finding Cecil and Mettaton having the time of their lives and getting extremely high ratings and Alphys pulls him off the stage so they can watch together
Mettaton and Cecil just randomly guest starring on each other’s shows and the radio show is an utter mess but Mettaton has his leg on the counter and his own embedded mic and Cecil is just leaning back in the chair holding the mic and they argue playfully
Cecil nearly getting stabbed by Undyne and
“Tfw crush nearly stabs bff’s bf”
Mettaton flirting with Cecil and Cecil replies with sassy remarks and “sorry, but my boyfriend wouldn’t like it if I snogged his robot, y'know?”
Carlos and Sans chatting sometimes because Carlos lives in Snowdon but just travels to Hotlands a lot
Carlos eating at Grillby’s and always ordering the same things
Papyrus trying to take him to Undyne and “Uh, Papyrus, she already knows I’m here. She’s tried to kill me. Five times. This week. And it’s only tuesday.”
Carlos getting stupid pranks pulled on him by Sans and he just shakes his head and grins
Carlos standing in Waterfall and listening to the music of the statue
Sitting by it and playing a guitar once to try and make his own song and Undyne finds him and just sits on the other side listening to him singing softly
Carlos singing about Cecil and how much he’d love to be by his side and never leave and simply get to see his face light up and show him around the underground
Undyne thinking of it as her and Alphys
Leaving when it’s done and Carlos notices a red ponytail as she runs off and he just smiles slightly
Carlos and Undyne begin to do that weekly. Neither ever speaks to the other about it afterwards or beforehand. It just happens.
Undone tries to sing along. Carlos plays a tune for her. Carlos eventually basically tells her, in the words of Hamilton, “if you love this girl, go get her. What are you waiting for?”
Carlos and Undyne slowl becoming non-enemies

Alphys helps make it (“It’s like kitchen science, Ally!”)
Undyne shares it with Papyrus but says that she made it because she doesn’t know who made it
Carlos being the nicest human he can be
Carlos having an anxiety attack in the ruins while with Toriel and Toriel just worries about him for weeks even though he doesnt have another
Carlos having multiple panic attacks about “what if people find out about the amalgamates?”
Carlos having nightmares that Alphys blames him for the amalgamates too and tells everyone that they’re his fault
Carlos having nightmares of getting killed by those he hopes to befriend
Carlos having nightmares of always being the one human in the underground and always having to keep quiet or there’ll be an order out for his death including a reward
Carlos having nightmares of Mettaton and Alphys turning on him
Carlos and what he worries about
Carlos hurting himself after the amalgamated are made and nearly ending up dear and Alphys doing the same for him that he does for her
Both of them trying to jump off the waterfall and both of them getting dragged back to the lab for Bill Nye and anime and ramen
Carlos making things like knitting a hat or scarf when he’s worried so there’s something that comes out of it
After the amalgamates he gives all of the dogs a scarf and a hat apiece due to being worried enough to make all of them
Carlos having sudden times where hr has to knit to calm down and giving Alphys a sweater
Alphys borrowing a t-shirt when it’s really hot in the lab (usually the think positive one) and Carlos making her warmer clothes for when she comes to snowdin
Carlos only having two t-shirts and one of them he had to make himself with paint and fabric

Alphys thinks it’s hilarious. Sans likes it. Papyrus doesn’t understand what’s going on with the shirt.
Carlos dreaming that one of the others is going to find out about the true lab and decide that there’s no reason to not kill him if all he’s doing is making things worse
Carlos worrying about his own safety more than alphys’s because he has no reputation as a good guy like Alphys does and he’s human and he’s not known by the king but they know he took part in most of Alphys’s experiments
He fears that they’ll think that out of all of them thats the one he suggested and he’s gonna get the repercussions
Carlos telling Alphys “They’re gonna kill me when they find out, and Cecil’s never going to know what happened, and he’s just going to get himself killed, and maybe he’ll reach Mettaton and see what we pit into him and why he’s so much like Ceec but… But I’ll never see him. They’re gonna kill me first. It’s likely that they’re gonna blame me, what with predudice and reasoning, and you’ll be fine, just naïve and blamed for letting ‘that idiot human’ come up with an experiment, and I’ll just–”
“Carlos, st-step away from the edge…”
“Why does it even matter, Alphys?!”
And Alphys just telling him “B-because no matter wh-what, I… uh… Cecil… uh…
There are people who need you. A-and, uh, Cecil’s definitely missing you. He-He’s probably looking for you, Carlos.”
Sans and Kevin are the only ones who remember the resets. Cecil doesn’t remember anything about it, same with Carlos. It’s just vague flashes of things.
“Wait. You died before.” is a common statement from Kevin. People just sort of stare.
Kevin and Sans picking up exactly where they left off after each reset and just making new puns and Kevin just asks “is there any way to get out of all the resetting? Can I just give up?” And Sans just replies
“i’ve tried. it’s an endless cycle.”
Kevin and Sans and how Kevin just breaks down and "I have a girlfriend, I need her, and I'm never going to get to see her again. I'm gonna be stuck here in this stupid bar with a stupid skeleton in a stupid underground and I'm never even going to see the sun again!" and just storming out into the snow and sitting down in it trying to get buried by snow
The amount of times that Kevin just snaps at people and "It won't even matter, 'cause you won't even remember this!"Kevin just trying to find ways to get out and eventually just giving up and laying on Sans's couch and staring at the ceiling for a long time
Kevin just slowly losing his hope that he's going to get out and eventually just getting past everything and reaching Asgore, asking to get out because he just can't take it anymore
Kevin having to fight Asgore and then Flowey and he just hates it and "I JUST WANT TO LEAVE!"
Carlos seeing Cecil on the screen in Alphys's lab and "what that's Ceec!" "wait he's killing someone that can't be him-- Is there audio? I want to check if it's him-- Papyrus!--Oh, goodness, that can't be him--but he's got the same outfit and everything--Alphys, tell Mettaton... Gods, this is hard to say... he can kill any human he sees. If that's what Cecil's become... then let Mettaton finish it. I'll be at the waterfall. I wonder if I'll see Cecil..."
He stands on a bridge, looking down. Footsteps approach, and he ducks back behind a rock nearby. He peeks out. Cecil. Undyne walks up soon enough, and Cecil slashes at her with a knife. Undyne keeps fighting. Carlos calls Alphys.
"It's him. He's... fighting Undyne. He killed her, but she's still fighting. Cecil.... He's... He's not even human anymore. Evacuate. Get out of the way. Stay safe. I'll... make sure I don't end up dead. Cecil's... he's... he's just a monster. Worse than a monster. At least monsters have souls... Oh, goodness, Cecil..."
Also. Kevin running into the lab, panting, and yelling "CARLOS, I SWEAR THAT'S NOT CECIL!" and Carlos just "...Kevin? You're here too? What happened to Cecil, he's been through here already, Mettaton... Papyrus... my friends are dead and Cecil's killing them!"
"It's not Cecil. He's being... possessed. It did the same to me. I killed you last time. And it got Ceec. I'm sorry. He's gonna kill us all. It's not a stoppable entity. Not unless we make an invention. I need to learn how. How to stop it. How to do anything. I can't help more."
"Kevin, you look like you've run the whole way here."
"Because I did!"
"Sit down. Take a break. I'll try and understand."
Kevin trying to express what's going on but he keeps going back and "oh my gods Carlos I killed everyone he's killing why can't it stop why cant it stop--"
Kevin seeming insane due to that
Having nightmares about what he did while under control and what Cecil's doingDon't imagine that the Smiling God takes over Carlos at one point and forces him to kill Mettaton and Cecil tries to stop him but gets himself stabbed
Alphys losing faith in humans because Carlos nearly killed her too and she just remembers the near snarl of "you're no friend of mine, monster."
Carlos brandishing a scalpel and he still has the same look on his face as Cecil and Kevin before him with the same dark eyes and broad smile
Alphys refusing to let Cecil and Kevin through and Kevin just sits there and "I know that Carlos is your friend. I know we're not. But we need help. And Carlos isn't himself. I need to reset the world again. Because this is worse than last time."
"...Last time? Kevin, you're talking crazy talk," Cecil sighs.
"Last time the same thing got you. And for God's sake, I'm just trying to keep everyone alive, and all that's happening is that thing keeps taking over us and making us kill people!"
"And in what world is that possible?"
"There's talking robots and monsters here. There's a fish lady with a spear who tried to kill us and there's a skeleton with amazing puns. There's a goat lady who made us pie, and you think that possession is impossible?!"
Kevin and Carlos having to try and stop Cecil
All of the combinations
Every time how Cecil and Carlos and everyone but Kevin seems clueless and only Sans seems to remember out of all of the monsters
Kevin being able to dodge through things that he remembers with his eyes closed after ten runs
Kevin just eventually deciding to try and sleep instead of stopping it and instead just getting nightmares of what he's seen and done
Kevin trying to get himself killed in order to just end the resetting but he just wakes up next to Cecil once again in the same place
Kevin just slowly losing hope that hes going to escape and just sitting down at Grillby's with Sans and "hey. Can we just sit here? And do nothing? I've already ran around a lot. Died a lot. Had a lot of issues. I just... I need a break. And you're probably the closest I have to someone who understands. I wish you were human. It would make this much... less like a nightmare. I don't know..."
