Decided to do some more pictures of my eight little guys and while Zydrates AU doesn't have a name (still) but at this rate I might just go with ZTale or something but I'm still bouncing ideas around a bit.
With each picture I do of them and I bounce around their stories a bit to discover what kinds of people (or monsters in this case) they are their personalities are really starting to shine. This is what I've learned!
Chance has always been the fathering type and his AU - Chancetale is proof of this. He raised Papyrus since he was young and while it was exhausting it was worth it. When the human(s) come to the Underground it's he and Papyrus (mostly Chance) that take in the humans rather than Toriel. He would also 100% adopt Jigsaw if they ever met. He comes from a most Neutral AU.
Jigsaw is just a little guy and is pretty quiet to the point where he's probably considered semi-mute or mostly mute. He only talks if there's something to say and otherwise keeps his head low and doesn't say a word. He's a very anxious little skeleton but will push away all of his fear if it means protecting his younger brother. That self-sacrificing attitude is the entire reason he looks how he does. He comes from a hostile and negative AU which only makes his story all the sadder.
Ghost is the next-to-youngest but even he's still technically an adult while Jigsaw is barely 14. Ghost also comes from an AU that starts out neutral but slowly turns into a hostile one before it returns to being neutral once again. He has scars on the left side of his body from a situation that not only injured him beyond what RESET's could fix but the same incident also caused some corruption in his worlds code that effects the others who were there at the time it occurred. He has trust issues to put it lightly but I don't doubt for a second that if he met another Sans he would have an easier time trusting them over a stranger. Especially if that stranger is a Gaster or a Chara.
Zydrate is from an AU that was made by @stellaraineart and I though out of the characters in that specific AU Zydrate is mine <3. He is very helpful, outgoing, and friendly. That being said he's extremely vein about his looks and his confidence often stems from that. He technically has a nasty scar on the right side of his face around his eye that he covers with make up that he invented to hide imperfections in bone without using magic. He and his brother are pretty close but he's much closer to his father (Gaster) than anybody else.
Moon is just as anxious as Jigsaw but unlike Jigsaw whos AU currently has an end to the torment and a (possible) happy ending, Moon's AU hasn't gotten that far yet. His AU doesn't have a human on a genocide run or anything like that and instead his worlds Asriel is the biggest threat to Moon. Simply because Moon caught him doing something terrible and was threatened into silence. Out of all of the Boss Monsters (which are called Guardians in his AU) he's the weakest which puts him at a huge disadvantage against Asriel who is one of the strongest Gods. Due to this he is extremely skittish, struggles to sleep, and is always jumping at Shadows. It takes a lot for him to trust somebody but if somebody he trusts break that trust he will shut himself off from even his closest friends.
Crow comes from a negative AU or at least one that's on the fast track to becoming one. Between the Queen being on a war path and locking both her husband and son in the castle with orders to kill Asgore if he steps out of line and the threat of monsters turning on one another in the defense of the different members of the Royal Family it is one bad day from becoming a negative AU. Despite this, Crow keeps his spirits up as much as he can in public but the moment he is alone with Grillby the façade vanishes and his true exhausted side shows. Crow is a member of the resistance along with his older brother Raven (Gaster).
Honey comes from a Neutral AU called Underhive which is on the surface but Humans are still an important part of the story due to the fact that they are constantly trying to hurt the massive Underhive Tree that houses their version of the "Underground". They obviously can't let this happen though given that the Underhive Tree is where the CORE for this AU resides. Despite the threats, it's a pretty tame AU that is mostly focused on being a slice-of-life AU. Honey runs a bakery called Honey Buns that Papyrus (which goes by Bumble) all but demanded he open after he became an adult and didn't need his older brother to raise him anymore. Unfortunately running a bakery that specializes in honey treats isn't particularly popular, mostly because the entire tree literally has honey on tap at any given point. Due to this Honey is often seen working odd jobs on top of running his shop. If he's not running around, baking or running the shop you can bet he's probably asleep behind the counter.
Finally there's Shadow (my personal favorite). he comes from an extremely hostile AU that makes Jigsaw's AU look like a vacation. His AU has something that was created by the Royal Scientists accidentally when they were trying to carry through with orders from the King. Unfortunately the results of this invention turned monsters much more monsterous. Each area of the Underground has a monster more dangerous than the last. The one in Snowdin is the one that Shadow deals with on a near daily basis. It hunts by sound, is absolutely massive and is fast as hell. It moves near silently unless it's actively running after something. Because of this, Shadow and his brother are mostly tasked with keeping it away from the town. They are used to moving silently through the snow but not without their close calls. One such close call ended up with Shadow losing his left leg. Alphys gave him a prosthetic but it clicks when it walks if it is not powered on and as such is magic must be constantly active to keep it as quiet as possible. He often short cuts even if it's a few feet away out of instinct to keep silent. All of this is also the main reason that Shadow is selectively mute and he will not speak out loud unless he is sure it's safe and even then it's a whisper. If things get too loud he get's extremely anxious and will often check for danger. Shadow is also the last person to fall asleep (hence why he's awake in the picture) because he does not dare close his eyes without somebody on watch.

The other night I was out and saw this big caterpillar on a walnut sapling in my yard. For some reason I decided to document the host plant before the cat itself, and of course Sir Caterpillar of Grippyfeet decided to yeet himself into the grass before I could get a photo. So I was pretty psyched to find him pretty much back in the same spot the next night. @eumorpha-dream says it is some kind of underwing moth (Catocala sp.). I love the little white polka dots around the spiracles!
