Undivided Attention || Alaric & Faith

                  "I get why you don't want 'em using their abilities," it's too hot in the school, for some reason, but Slayers have a tendency to run hot-blooded. Faith's got to get out of that scarf before she melts down to a puddle of superpowered goo. She's in the middle of peeling off her jacket when she backs through the door of Ric's office, "Just don't think you get how hard it is for them."

Faith lays the jacket over the arm of a chair, the scarf, then starts the slow walk around Ric's desk. There was a time, long ago and far away, when she pulled her punches. Let him come to her in his own time, but that sort of thing is long gone. It's taken years and a great many couples therapy sessions to get them here --- to get to the point where she can ease herself onto his lap and casually tuck against him like it's nothing.

        She rakes her hair off of her face with short, plum nails, then gently rests her brow against his jaw. They're both exhausted and you can hear it in Faith's voice, "They need a win, baby. Or you're gonna have frickin' anarchy all up in here, that’s real."

#undividedattention Went to Bible study and no sooner than I taken my seat I heard the cellphone’s email beep Before I could check the details The Spirit’s voice said “don’t check that email” This voice reminded me Before the app, I carried the Bible and once seated I gave minister my undivided attention And now that I got this device I think I can learn and keep abreast on what’s going on outside Where’s my undivided attention to God? Church isn’t even that long Somehow I just got to look at the phone Is anything more important than God’s word? Why let the cellphone disturb? So glad I listened to the Spirit And ignored any phone messages Turned out the lesson was so informative and inspirational Minister even included testimonials Thanks Lord for reminding me To give Your word my undivided attention.
