The theme of World No Tobacco Day 2022 - 31, May 2022 is "Protect the environment", highlighting that, throughout its lifecycle, tobacco pollutes the planet and damages the health of all people. Discarded cigarette butts represent the first source of plastic pollution in the world, while the use of pesticides to grow tobacco plants as well as deforestation (3.5 million hectares of land destroyed each year) and the use of large amounts of water to cultivate tobacco, damaging ecosystems and reducing climate resilience. Tobacco companies also contribute 84 megatons of carbon dioxide equivalent to greenhouse gases. Se reanuda sesión con la crisis trabajada en la sesión pasada. Y se vota por la moción de un debate informal de 20 minutos. Las delegaciones de China y Turquía cuestionan a los gobiernos latinoamericanos que se han mostrado débiles frente a las regulaciones establecidas en la Convención de Palermo. La delegación China muestra cómo se ha establecido normas en su nación, pero que lo sistemas latinoamericanos no son fuertes y que este país simplemente evade las acusaciones poniendo la culpa en otros. Los representantes Alemania y Somalia pide que se plantee soluciones en vez de apuntar a ciertos países y que se cree una verdadera cooperación internacional, aunque Francia pide que cada país pide que cada uno comience por sí mismo y se establezcan regulaciones internas. La delegación de Pakistán ofrece su ayuda para investigar en cada uno de países latinoamericanos para encontrar a los verdaderos culpables. Bélgica y Grecia, exigen que las delegaciones sean coherentes y se busque un acuerdo transnacional y no generar más odio, "este acuerdo se podrá llevar acabo si se toma el problema dividiéndolo en diferentes partes y se ataque en cada una de estas".

Se inicia un tiempo de lobby para que las delegaciones lleguen a acuerdos e intenciones de resolver la problemática planteada. Se ha trabajado en los papales de trabajo y en los comunicados que se van a entregar.

Pasa la moción de abolir la crisis y es aprobada por la comisión. Y se vuelve al espacio de trabajo. Se suspende la sesión con los trabajos terminados.

Se reanuda la sesión y se presentan los trabajos pasándolos por el proceso respectivo de exposición, dudas y votación. Pasando por aprobación primero el protocolo de atención y protección de víctimas y testigos de la trata de personas. Siendo aprobada por el comité.
