April Challenge 2019 Day 13
Meet Cute:
Yoosung counted his money one more time. He had enough to get a small popcorn and a small drink. It wasn’t much, but enough for him to enjoy the movie, plus refills were free. He was a little bummed that none of his friends had been able to join him. But it wasn’t as if he’d never been to a movie on his own before, he pushed away the jealousy he felt seeing couples all around him. He shook his head with a sigh and closed his eyes briefly. The theater was packed, and he was glad he had bought his ticket in advance.
He stuffed his money back into his front jean pocket, pulling his t-shirt down. The Captain Marvel emblem wide on his chest. The person in front of him stepped back and bumped into him. He in turn, stepped back as well twisting sideways and the back of his hand brushed against the back of the hand of the person behind him. He looked up, an apology already exiting his lips.
His breath caught in his throat as he met an amazing pair of amber eyes, and a brilliant smile. Suddenly he was pressed from behind and he ended up against the slightly taller red-head. The man’s hands wrapped around him with a laugh as he too was pushed from behind.
“Well, this is awkward.” The red-head chuckled, but he didn’t appear upset in the least.
Yoosung laughed with him, pressing his palms against the man’s chest. He knew he should probably step away, but there was something that kept him right where he was.
“On the plus side, we can get the couples combo and save some money.” The taller man smirked down at him. Yoosung couldn’t find the breath to answer and he only grinned wider.
“Sir? Can I help you?” Yoosung blinked as he realized he was next.
“Oh, yes, uh.” He reluctantly took a step away from the man. He felt a little heady and confused. It wasn’t as if he’d never felt attraction towards someone. This was different. The man let go of him but then put his arm around his shoulders and leaned over the counter towards the girl standing at the register.
“We’ll have the couples combo, two medium popcorns and two medium drinks.” He said. The girl nodded and pressed buttons. As she turned to get their drinks the man looked over at Yoosung.
“Maybe I should know your name.” he whispered into his ear. It sent a shiver down Yoosung’s spine and he swallowed incessantly, trying to lubricate his suddenly dry mouth. His tongue stuck to the roof of his mouth and it clicked audibly when he tried to speak.
The man was so close and Yoosung felt like an idiot as he croaked out his name.
“Yoosung? Beautiful. I’m Saeran. Are you here alone?” Yoosung only nodded. “Me too, looks like we’re here to watch the same movie, want to sit together?” his voice was low and husky and Yoosung wasn’t sure if he was flirting or just being practical. That smile though, those eyes that seemed to stare deep into his soul.
“That would be great.” He managed to push out.
The girl set their cups on the counter and turned to get the popcorn.
“Can we get a single large instead, so we can share.” Saeran asked her. She nodded and changed the order on the register. “Want anything else?” he asked Yoosung, who shook his head. His body was giving him strange signals. The man had moved his hand from his shoulder, down his back, and now it rested on his hip. It felt heavy and light at the same time. His touch was like a spark that ignited his insides into an inferno. Shit, what was happening to him? He was aroused and he wasn’t sure how to handle the situation.
Saeran let go of him to pull his wallet out and pay the girl. Yoosung whined and flushed when he noticed Saeran flicking his eyes towards him, a small smile on his face. Oh god, he’d heard!
