Ok, if Swynlake was such a small town and the secondary school was pretty small too, then why was Vee having such a hard time finding her way around? She stared at the small paper map the kind woman from the registrar’s office had given her early that morning, comparing it to the schedule in her other hand and tried to reconcile where she was with where she needed to go.
Maybe it was—this way? She drifted through the crowd only half paying attention to what was going on around her, watching the little map, her brow furrowed in mild frustration. The gymnasium was a huge building. It shouldn’t be this hard to find!
She continued on until—bump! She smacked up against a surface. Well, a person actually. How embarrassing! She thought she must be the world’s clumsiest vampire.
“Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry!” she babbled, flustered. This was no way to make a good first impression! She looked up at the young man, certain her face would be bright red if it were possible. So at least she could be thankful for that. “I am so embarrassed! I should have been looking where I was going. Are you ok?”
