Environmental Analyzer || Open

Isabel couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but she was sure she recognized the girl she had just finished tapping from somewhere. Where had it been? That thought didn’t take long to be figured out because the girl had speeded all the way across the park and back in less than a millisecond.
And right there in the brunette’s hand was the toaster piece she was looking for.
No doubt, there was definitely some shock coloring Isa’s eyes that she couldn’t even hide if she tried. Thankfully, her brain worked a lot quicker than her eyes did and Isa was able to place two and two together and guess that this girl was a part of that vampire family that had been outed.
It caused a bit of a hysteria in town.
It was then when Isa remembered where she had seen her before. It was in Swynlake Secondary. She was in the grade below Isa, and hey if this girl had never harmed her before, Isa wasn’t about to sit here and judge her for being a vampire (assuming she had mentally guessed correctly) now.
Instead, the brunette smiled. “Thanks! It would have taken me forever to find it and I really need this piece. I’m trying to make an environmental analyzer.” This time Isa’s smile had only gotten wider. She loved talking about inventions, particularly the ones she would scheme up,
“I want it to be a device that could well analyze one’s environment. It would tell you what water can or can’t be drinkable, poisons vs editable berries and mushrooms, and even give accurate weather predictions. I’m Isabel by the way, or Isa, everyone prefers Isa.”
Vee was positively delighted that the young woman clearly recognized her for what she was and was still completely friendly towards her. Even though more and more people in town were starting to accept her and her family, it never failed to bring joy to her heart to experience that small kindness.
“No problem!” She grinned brightly, nodding with interest as the girl explained her project, Vee’s eyes lit up. An environmental analyzer? How cool was that?
“Wow! That’s so neat! Something like that would really come in handy. And the idea that you can use a toaster to make something like that? Amazing!” She held out a hand and said, “I remember you from school. You were the prom queen my first year here, weren’t you? I’m Vee by the way. I’ve graduated now and am headed to PrideU in just a few weeks.”
