Unexpected outing
Starter for @saviourofzaun as Jinx.
It was a boring day, and nothing was going the way she wanted it. That lovely blue crystal wasn’t giving up it’s secrets, and the book wasn’t talking to her the way it should. Jinx knew she was so very close to making it work, but somehow it wasn’t cooperating just yet. Normally she would have just spent the next twelve hours wrestling with the problem particularly as she knew how badly Silco wanted the project finished, but this was one of those days when her brain just wouldn’t let it work on it no matter how hard she tried. The problem was that with part of her wanting to hyperfocus on the project, but another part basically spinning in a chair wanting to do anything else Jinx found herself at a stand still until she had the perfect idea.
Go see Silco! That’d make things less boring, and maybe it’d help get her mind to focus afterwards.
Bounding down off of her workshop along the fan blades Jinx grabbed her chompers, and pistol of course just in case anything happened as she went. Not too long later she was above Silco’s office looking a touch puzzled at the empty room before shrugging and going downstairs to poke at Chuck. The bartender as usual looked terrified of her which was rather entertaining, but she’d came to visit Silco not play with the bartender. With Chuck mentioning that Silco had left she waved, and headed out as well. Did she want to toss a paint chomper at Chuck? Of course, but if she did it every time he’d just expect it and that’d get boring. For once he was left more or less in peace.
Heading immediately up to the roof tops Jinx took a few minutes to find Silco, but enjoying the feeling of being up high as well as being rather curious about where he was actually going she stayed up there for a bit. Across a roof top, catch a fire escape, swing to another building, back up to the roof top she’d made this area almost as much her territory as Silco had the streets. Sure others showed up to run across it, but no one knew it as well as she did anymore and no one challenged her while she was running. In the middle of partly stalking Silco, and partly fun run Jinx saw the perfect spot to drop down and say hi however.
A trash dumpster she’d decided to decorate a few weeks back that still had her markings, and paint on it. She knew exactly how durable it was, and how to land on it so it only made sense to use that as a spot to finish her run on. Without any hesitation at all her next jump had her plunging down through the air with a grin on her face, and her braids going outwards as for a moment it was like she was flying. Only a brief moment however, but the ending was almost as satisfying as her heavy steel toed boots slammed down against the trash dumpster making the metallic sound almost roar through the alleyway. In her defense Jinx hadn’t actually expected it to be quite that loud. Eyes bright, and as large as ever she let out a little giggle. “Oops.” Hopping off of the dumpster she smiled at Silco sauntering towards him. “So where are we going?”
