Does anyone else ever experience an object going missing only to show up in plain sight anywhere from hours to years later, sometimes with no physically possible explanation for how it got there?

Why is there not a serious investigation into how Jared Leto can be 39 (forty in December !) and look exactly the same as he did 15 years ago ?
