have you ever heard of The Qpiz? It's an obscure Italian Spanish cartoon about three alien heroines who go to earth to try to spread love and friendship there (key word here being try lol). Ik it's considered magical girl to a lot of people, so I figured it would be appropriate to bring it up here.
I had not heard of it. The art style really isn't my thing, but they do have fun hair at least.

Ah cute! I like the outfits and the wand scooters, but very much not a fan of the self-aware "look how we're doing a trope" thing.
This seems like it skews a little young for me, though might still be worth it to check out as a companion to Detective Precure. I'd definitely welcome a year of detective mahous over the current idol mahou year.
You know, the manga "Kill Blue", the last chapter, 76, (in the mangaplus) had many references to Precure, the protagonist becoming a big fan of Precure

Ever heard of Nirvana? (Not the band)
It’s a magical girl manga with no anime adaptation from 2016 that was serialized in Monthly Comic Gene, made by Jin and ZOWLS. It’s licensed in English by Seven Seas Entertainment!
(The reason I’m mentioning all these extra details is because just searching up ‘Nirvana’ got me the band, and I remember once when I searched up ‘Nirvana manga’ and just got pictures of a manga cameo of Kurt Cobain, hopefully that’s changed now)
I had not heard of this before. At first I thought that this doesn't seem very mahou to me, but it appears that there is a suitable magical trinket at least, and Pretear-style transformations where the heroine merges with another character. And it's from a josei magazine too? Could be interesting!
Have you heard of Secrets of the Silent Witch? Afaik it seems more like a high fantasy series but I have seen it marked/described as a magical girl series atleast twice now so it might be worth checking out even if it doesn’t exactly meet your requirements.

I hadn't heard of it. Based on the image search results to me it looks more like a general fantasy story than anything magical girls honestly. I tend to be quite skeptical on works being described as magical girls too, since people have different takes on the genre and I've seen plenty of situations where anything that has a girl who uses magic as magical girls, which I find misleading.
Agreed on the cover art being pretty, they do have lovely use of colour!

I haven't seen it. The magical form isn't really my aesthetic at all, but the art style has some nostalgic 90s appeal and at 6 episodes it wouldn't be that much of a time investment, so there's some chance that I'll watch it one day.
