Ungava gin is good shit.
Bombay Sapphire, on the other hand, tastes like vodka mixed with Pine Sol.

Gin makes me incredibly happy, when I have not been happy in awhile. So give me one good god damned reason why I shouldn't drink it. Go on. I dare you.
La Fin du Mot - 3/4 oz Ungava Canadian Gin (infused with Arctic circle herbals), 3/4 oz Suze Gentian herbal liqueur, 3/4 oz Luxardo Maraschino liqueur, 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice, shaken with ice and fine strained into a chilled coupe rimmed with Mekong river salt and garnished with a lemon twist. A bright golden colored drink that blends salty, sweet, tart and bitter flavors beautifully. Highly recommended!

I would be lying if I said that the main reason I took the Ungava gin launch assignment wasn't to get a chance to check out the newest bar at The Fort, the ultra cool (literally) Imperial Ice Bar. It proved to be a hitting-two-birds-with-one-stone kinda thing, as I discovered for myself the delights of some unconventionally colored gin and got to experience freezing my ass off in a -5 degree Celsius ice bar. Ungava gin was robust and had a distinctly subtle but pronounced aroma and went down quite nicely and had me rattling along like some liquor connoisseur. It also made my next cocktail choice a no-brainer. Read my review here.
