linh stayed out of sight, hoping that it might inspire iris to keep her out of mind. club music pulsed throughout the club, bodies moving everywhere. linh's eyes stayed stagnant, constantly peeled on the woman across the club. she was close enough that she could reach her quickly if need be, and far enough away to foster some idea of space. but that was the thing - it was merely an idea. because the two of them had been stuck like glue to each other for the duration of linh's employment with iris' father. and with that came its own problems..
one of them, the most glaring, was iris herself. she was entirely distracting, and if linh's eyes weren't already glued to her because of the job, they would have been anyways because of how beautiful she was. she seemed to take up so much space in the room, and the bodyguard was hopeless to resist that magnetic pull. she'd withstood so far but watching her dance... turning her head away briefly from iris' hips, she took in the space around them. careful to cast her eyes across the patrons, always searching for danger. she'd told iris that it wasn't smart to involve herself in a crowd this big - but iris seemed to have a belief that linh could protect her from anything. linh wished that was the case. jaw clenching at the thought of iris being hurt in any way, her eyes stayed sharp, shoulders tense and holding the weight of the woman's safety. @ungratcful
