It's been a minute since I've talked about this ship.

Okay, I read an excellent analysis of percabeth.

So, Percy makes a picnic for Annabeth. Cute, right?

Well, to Annabeth. She was a bit disappointed and expected more.

So, Percy, who doesn't really have much, puts in the effort to please her for their first date? Second? Third? Whatever. The point is that he tries to please her with pizza and sandwiches, which don't satisfy her. She expects more from him than pizza and sandwiches.

You like luxury, Annabeth? Fine. Nothing wrong with that, but Percy can't afford that (at least not at the time) and is trying his best. For you to 'expect more' from him shows how ungrateful, entitled, and shallow you are. I mean, seriously. Pizza and sandwiches. HE'S FUCKING TRYING AT LEAST. He could have just arrived at the park with nothing and expected you to handle everything. Also, you guys were still kids at the time. Kids can only do what they can handle. Percy can handle a small picnic. Maybe something big and extravagant like a five-star diner is probably too much for him. But to make up to you, he still grants you that (thanks to Hermes).

Back to the picnic. He does a kind and adorable romantic thing, and that's not enough for you. I'd do somersaults if my girlfriend did that for me.

Goodness gracious. No wonder Percy feels like a shit boyfriend and has bad self-esteem because this ungrateful bitch expects him to go above and beyond and when he doesn't, she takes a shit at him. Love, you don't even deserve this small picnic. If you can't accept this small gesture, you don't deserve a bigger one.

Before I end this, I'm not saying you can't expect nice things or gifts. It's okay to want dine out in luxury with your boo or have standards. She's allowed to have standards, and there's nothing wrong with that. BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT! When he's trying his hardest and this is what he can afford, show some fucking gratitude. He's not a bum or a cheap stake. He's a kid who's trying. Show that you give a fuck and appreciate the kind gesture. Like I said, he doesn't have to do that. He could've arrived with nothing and expected you to do everything.

Also wanna add, you expected him to remember a month anniversary and got annoyed when he didn't. Then you called him stupid for not knowing. (She calls him seaweed brain.) 😑 Lady, that's too soon. I can understand six months or a year, but a MONTH? You guys are still fresh and new in this relationship. Take it slow. He's not dumb for remembering because that's nothing to celebrate. I understand it shows how attached Annabeth is and her abandonment issues. I just... I don't know. I feel he shouldn't be called stupid for not thinking a one-month anniversary is a big deal. Have it be a year, then pop some champagne.
