January 14, 2015: "Do good."
One of my courses this semester is on war, conflict, and new security threats... a pretty bleak topic where it's hard not to feel pessimistic about governments and people in general, really. Anyways, one of the exciting things about the class is that every week we have a seminar with a visiting defence fellow - someone with senior army experience. Tomorrow will be the first one of the semester, and the guy just emailed us all an outline of the class, signing out with: "do good."
For such a depressing class it's such a simple and grand statement and I don't really know why I'm blogging about it but I just think it's very fitting. At the end of the day that's such a great aim, and coming from someone from a senior rank of the armed forces, I'm intrigued to hear his take on things.
Well that's my UCAS application sent.
aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh
well, thats UCAS mostly done. Just hope my tutor can whip up a reference asap. I mean, I saw her today so she's expecting it.
once that's out of the way it's just sending it. then waiting. and waiting. and more waiting.
gosh i'm nervous already
