Welcome my funny fellow the faceless freak.

While their story takes place far away from Ciwa or Pimple island, there is much to say.

They are from the "city of demons" as strangers would call it. It's a culture that believes in the existence of demons/personal deities. This is theirs.

This religion says each person must have a guardian to follow them on their journey and this guardian must be treated well for the soul of the "author" to be well.

They are inherently tied to the soul and believed to reflect all it's basal qualities and desires that shape the way they look and act.

A person will gain a base for their demon from their parent or other family that is knowledgeable of the process and has the artistic ability to depict them.

It's very important that a citizen of the culture is skilled in a visual art so that they can 'communicate' with their soul. Design and show their demon and whatnot. It's a common way to choose partners here as well.

There are a few other ways to multiply the number, but those are very specific and not relevant to the Faceless character.

But then, unlike in base Ueema religion, the soul/attachment/demon isn't a blessing when gained. It's a responsibility for life. And if one is to gain a different demon, they are sent to spiral into insanity. Being harassed by the demons who don't belong.

How do you get more than one? Well, by death. A murderer must deal with the spiteful demons of their victims.

I'm sure I will talk more about this culture and other characters some other time, so I won't drag it out.

would you be able to tell a little about the people who the missionary killed to get their extra demons? I'm particularly curious about the naïve

(This post is about this character, the "faceless" land uniima.)

I will be a little vague here

The 'city of demons' is more of a collection of smaller cultures connected by trade and religious ideas. And this "city" has three main sections, with a fourth being in the process of development at the time the faceless started their journey. So there were 4 ruler-like figures.

These are the "Titans" that have the ultimate decision-making power in the region. All except the last being architects (a name for a land uniima who has matured into a third stage after adulthood) with the last having their post-adulthood architect puberty going on but still being smaller than the rest.

The maturing one, "the foreseen Djeete" would now experience emotional imbalance and eventually a strong desire for personal independence away from adult land uniima. But that's not how one rules in the city of demons. Djeete would start ruling in their 50s but would need a much stronger hand to gain the respect the menacing, large Titans would have without issue. Because of this, their caretakers and parents would help them push towards the change into an architect, but mostly, it was genes.

Djeete, not being the brightest, just most aggressive, would not realize being tolerant to their kin makes their rule easier than it is for the architect Titans, who would often make rules based on little imput from their citizens as they would need much more alone time for emotional stability.

Overall, much of the common folk would be ruled more by the religion in their everyday life, while their reproductive right, their property, and their rank would be held by the people who spent most of their time absent but seeing it as their own right to their legacy. Of course, except for the younger naive one who would terrorize their section on purpose to show greater power.

Quite a few people would grow tired of the regime, but not enough would find it unusual, unnatural, or wrong. Most had never experienced cultures outside the city, since the traveler messenger culture had never taken hold here, and outsiders tend to keep their distance from the Titans' property.

But things change.

Algaechh - follower of the "hand", master of speach and diplomacy (or at least that's what's said - they only speak like 4 languages).

They are from an island micro-state following the oldschool head rule. A strange mix of peoples down there on the landmass. The primary occupants are uniima c with Algea being one of the few exceptions, but faiths are more than varied.

In their community, they belong to the family/collective that rules this community with their "merchant power" which survives on the intercultural differences. Unlike most Foru states, this place uses currency in their daily lives, even when it starts clashing with some believes.

Algae doesn't spend too much time with their family, but they are loyal.

They just don't like their way of thinking.

Welcome to the introduction (yippee)

I'm Philip/A/yello. I enjoy writing, art, science, and this is the blog focused on my personal brain worms.

My big brain worm is worldbuilding, and the world you are seeing is the World of All (placeholder name).

World of All is placed on a single planet with multiple 'continents' that host independently evolved ecosystems and currently 4,5 sophonts/"aliens". This unique setup is all thanks to the Designers, mindless blobs that have managed to keep their landmasses isolated for billions of years (among other things). As a bonus, some of the blob physical manipulation is left in the sophont creatures' brains who have yet to understand physics on a deeper level.

After a long time, I have decided what my current sona is, which means I can make artist memes now.

It's based on classic war depictions of Unii-lls. A big big monster with giant horns, dinosaur posture, and a thick "scaly" tail. It's not the most accurate to what the soldiers really saw but it's cool as a sona. Not a canon character with uniima ll biology but just - some beast.

Uniima ll have miniature useless tails. They knuckle-walk most of the time and walk bipedally when they need height. Some farmers would make a terrible-for-spine contraption to free both of their hands when harvesting crops. It was like a backpack in the shape of a tail. To keep the weight same-ish, the farmer would drink the water kept in it after they filled it with material.

Here is my current redesign of Uniima LL because they really needed it with the world changes.

For anyone who doesn't know Uniima LL are very closely related to Uniima C. They are an evolutionary branch that traveled to the lower deserts of Foru where they experienced welm... changes.

Just like Uniima C, their eyes are immovable and to focus they turn their heads (around 200°). Their expressions are also much like Uniima C (not the expression language but the system), with them moving their face markings in specific ways. This will sometimes lift other muscles with the markings, making them appear as smiling, upset, etc. to other humanoids.

They share a lot more with other uniimas than with the elven or human O.s.

The most common Uniima ll's believe of why they humanized is that their Designer wished for peace with the sloman Designer and gave them the ability to speak sloman(elven) language and soul.
