Dusk Creeps On by BNSF 711 Via Flickr: After scooping the CPBN at the Commercial Yard, ATCS said there were some eastbounds on the St Paul Sub side. One of said eastbounds was a 2 x 2 DAPX coal load for Alma and I realized there might be something interesting on the end. Sure enough a pair of EMDs were bringing up the rear and facing the right way--damn. I decided to hope for some sort of westbound movement, but none would come in time. However, I realized the eastbounds were still not pulling past Mississippi St which meant the coal loads would be stopped at the intermediates at 4.7. Thus I took a chance and went to Union to see if the DPUs were within shooting distance. Sure enough they were just around the corner and in a little bit of light, so I went for the shot. Fortunately there is a side "road" along the right of way allowing me to get into a reasonable position. The light is not perfect, but I could not pass up a pair of EMDs like that.
