Meg februarban befizettem magunkat zipline-olni, Bandi szulinapja alkalmabol. Dubuque-be kellett elautozni, ahol is a Union park-ban van felepitve ez a drotkotelpalya. A park regen gyakorlatilag egy vidampark jellegu dolog volt, volt medence, szokokut, hullamvasut, mindez azert, hogy az atlagembernek bemutassak az elektromossag csodait a 20. szazad elejen. 1919-ben volt egy nagyobb aradas, amiben paran meghaltak, es a park infrastrukturajanal nagy resze megsemmisult. Ezutan meg ujranyitottak, de mar nem volt a regi. 1946 ota a YMCA es a Boy scouts tulajdonaban van. 2011 ota letezik a zipline, 9 palyaval, a legmagasabb kb 23 meteren van, a leghosszabb pedig kb 300 meteres. Mivel a social distancing tovabbra is ervenyben van, ket palyat nem lehetett hasznalni, mert tomorules lett volna a platformon, igy a ket leghosszabb palyan ketszer vegig lehetett menni, szerintem minosegi csere volt! Emellett termeszetesen kenytelen voltam gyereksisakot kerni az aranytalanul kicsi krumplifejemre, illetve legalabb 3szor sikerult a fenekemen landolni, de azert nagyon elveztuk mind a ketten. Bandi filmezett is, ime ahogy epp nem fenekre erkezem:

It was sad to hear that Pitchfork Music Festival is leaving Chicago. It is not clear what the future of the festival is, so we will have to wait and see. I have so many fond memories of the festival. Nice location, relatively small (three stages) and an eclectic blend of musical artists. It was always my warm up for Riot Fest later in the summer. In particular, I loved 2021 when it was my first post-lockdown festival and they had an extraordinary line up. I was going to post several videos from Pitchfork, but I didn't know where to begin. Instead, I'll post just one spectacular performance. So I am kicking of the weekend in memory of Pitchfork with Sleater-Kinney fittingly performing Entertain.
