It's nearly too dark to see anyone not illuminated by torches. A few pebbles knocked down by some sleepy guard seems to do no harm.

Kohga quips as he reluctantly lowers his kunai, unsure of what to make of this stranger and knowing that appearances could be deceptive. After all, Kohga himself was a rather bulky man who'd made nary a sound since slipping in here like a snake slithering through the dark. Those few scattering rocks were enough to alert him to the presence of another, and he'd been all but ready to slit their throat up until the last second.
This guy really didn't look like much, but then again. . . appearances, deception, and all that. And neither did he seem to be with the guard or their allies.
Meaning he likely had someone important locked up and was on a quest to retrieve them as well.
Funny how coincidences work, because it just so happened that Kohga was in the same kind of predicament.
Normally Kohga wouldn't be caught dead doing dirty grunt work like this, but someone especially special had the misfortune of being captured ( they'd be getting an earful and then some from Kohga after their recovery, THANK YOU ). It was a horrible offense to a Yiga's whole thing of being unseen and untouched agents from the shadows, but shit happened every now and then.
And he'd be damned if he let the other Yiga literally spill their guts to keep their collective secrets from getting out— what a waste. Dammit, they weren't like those wretched Sheikah—
