Melini stretches across the expanse of the old bay, and the coastline of Kahka Brud has been forever changed ( which, he has heard, the King has had to answer for more than once ). But more importantly than civil boundaries or fishing, the demon had been vanquished. It is now roaming monsters that pose a greater threat ( and moreso to Kahka Brud than to Melini, thanks to the King's... influence. ) — but the threat of resurgence never subsides. Not for Mithrun, anyway.
There had been a terrible noise about this Dungeon. Mithrun had entered to find it was swollen with monsters, beyond what the ecosystem ( wasn't that was Laios had said ? ) would allow for; they must have been enticed by the prospect of a new domain. The relative accessibility of this dungeon would soon draw new adventurers in, and... well, these things all interconnected. It seemed like this dungeon was worth investigating sooner rather than later — and a culling was in order.
He emerges in the night. He drags himself up the last few stairs using the wall as leverage, and then he looks up into the crisp, cloudless sky. He's quite a while from town... and can't recall which way he came from. Oh.
But then there is suddenly someone else on the path. With... a horse ?
It could only be described as a faint, momentary flash of paranoia brought on by fatigue — Mithrun feels something in his chest. He doesn't know what it means, but this person's arrival, so immediate after he had disrupted the Dungeon's balance...
The rider, with keen senses, may only notice a faint shhp and a rustle of grass in the periphery of their sight. Then it happens again, at their other side. Something is amiss. The horse is drawn to a halt and the rider speaks out — and Mithrun knows he has been detected, even as he lingers out of sight atop the stonework of the entrance. What are his options ? —This is irrational. It isn't like the Dungeons could influence the mind from out here. A foolish adventurer, merely ?
Another shhp and he ( in the most unintentionally jarring way possible ) appears right in front of the dungeon's entrance, one hand bracing himself against the stone. His breathing is heavy, shoulders shifting with the effort, but his eye is sharp and intent.
" ...What brings you out here ? "
