ABYEI - The UNISFA raises awareness about the dangers of explosive ordnance through the explosive ordnance risk education.

On 4 April in Abyei, UNISFA set up an interactive exhibition area about the "Prize Survey" and invited the staff to the "Show and Tell" event. They will be presenting a skit on explosive ordnance risk education to raise awareness about the dangers of explosive ordnance. Additionally, there will be live music and an award ceremony to recognize the most meaningful answers to the “Prize Survey”.

A community market’s ability to bring people of different races, ethnicities, and ages together is being shown in the recently re-established Amiet common market in the Abyei Area of Sudan. Our peacekeeping mission in the region, UNISFA, supported the re-opening of this market to foster reconciliation and peaceful co-existence between the Ngok Dinka and Misseriya tribes, and to bridge peace between the two communities.

It’s 6:30am I have had three cups of coffee and we alll went to watch the sun rise and I dared Cam to walk into the river and he did it, but then I felt bad so I followed, and then we got out, and then I got bored and so went back in, and Cam followed, so we stood in the river for 20 minutes yelling at the sun to rise while everyone else stood on the shore doing the same thing but dry and I haven’t had too much coffee I’m typing rambly for comedic effect. Fun times, man, fun times.
