These are some portraits and unit stills I did of Lee Child author of the Jack Reacher series, for a @xerox campaign #setthepagefree this was my second major campaign shoot the first with such world renowned celebrity authors. One thing I love about my job is the opportunity to work with such an array of people and to connect and collaborate with them on photos. . I love the challenge of connecting with people outside your bubble. Lee had a Wind Talkers challenge coin. My uncle, a collector of such coins, had taught me about the coins traditions and meanings. Teina Terei, photographed in 2011 for the Going Digital TVC campaign, to promote the changeover from broadcast TV to a full digital service. The agency was Draft FCB for their client The New Zealand Ministry for Culture and Heritage. Teina passed away last week at the age of 17 after a long battle with leukaemia. He was a talented and versatile actor, starring in Billy T: Te Movie, many TV commercials and TV shows like Are we There Yet, Last Man Standing and Shortland Street. For the Go Digital campaign 12 year old Teina’s bright and cheerful personality was infectious on set. He was a real trouper, exchanging banter with everyone from the producers and the set runners, and always up for as many takes as the director needed before having to do it all over again for the stills photographs. His father, well known actor, comedian and TV personality, Pio Terei accompanied Teina on set. But far from being the stereotypical controlling parent, Pio kept a low profile, only getting involved when Teina was clearly becoming tired from the exertions of the long days on location.
