Corintheus speaks to Unity and Desire
Unity (The queen, insulted an Endless to his face five seconds after meeting him, the legend) Kinkaid
And
Desire (May act like a boss bitch but screams bratty sub so hard it kills me) of the Endless.

The Desunity brainrot continues
Ok, so, Unity is the dream vortex right? And I don’t know how they work specifically. But she is a supernatural creature that is powerful enough to destroy the Dreaming (and also the universe apparently). She pulls the Dreaming, an entire realm, to herself, tearing the walls between the realms. Is it any wonder that she also attracts Desire?
Unity is a badass queen who does not tremble before Dream and calls him an idiot upon meeting him. She isn’t someone who backs down. And she isn’t easily impressed. So Desire has to work to get her attention. Desire who is themselves the wanting wants Unity now and Unity does not make it easy.
How exciting is that for them? It starts as a scheme against Dream, it ends up with Unity wrapping Desire around her finger.
Then keeping Dream locked up becomes even more important, if he gets out too early he will kill Unity and Desire can’t have that. It’s better to wait until the child is born. But oh no, little sweet Miranda, so much like her mother. Desire cannot not love her too, and protect her from a distance or dressed as someone else, shower her with gifts.
“No, Despair, I don’t care for the human, I only want them healthy for the plan.”
The rest of the Endless watching this like, sure Desire sure. And then arguing in the background who’s more idiotic Desire and their “secret” love for their wife and child or Dream and Hob with their 600+ years of mutual pining (it’s Dream they decided, at least Desire got married)
Then we get to Rose and Jed. Do you think Desire tried to keep their distance? Knowing that Dream will be free eventually and will have to kill their grandchild. Do you think Desire started to think of this as mistake? Do you think they would tell Unity about what the future holds or let her live in the blissful dream? (oh no I think I’m starting to venture into angst territory) also how do you think Desire reacts when they learn about Jed’s situation??
And also, after it’s all said and done, Unity sacrifices herself for her grandchildren. She stays in the Dreaming after death, it has been her home her whole life it’s only natural. And when she meets with Desire again they get an earful about the whole mess. Unity is furious and Desire is just happy to see her again, already plotting how to get into her good graces again.
(This is based on the show Desire and Unity though)
was talking to @lucienne-thee-librarian about desunity and started thinking about a spy au where desire is supposed to honey trap unity but they slowwwwly start to develop genuine feelings and goes ohshitohfuckohno and like. they’re DESIRE. emotional intimacy makes them hiss and spit like a cat exposed to water. but after a lifetime of dodging and ducking, they can’t deny how they feel towards unity.
Unity: Miranda why did you eat all the cookies?
Miranda: Because I wanted! :D
Desire: Very well!
Unity:
Desire: Uh
Unity: Try again
Desire: Not very well?
Unity: Better
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Outings with the Endless-Kincaid-Walkers
Part 1: Start Being a Great-Grandparent! (714 words)
Rating: Teen and Up Audiences
Relationships (as of Dec 29, 2022): Desire/Unity, Unity & Rose & Jed
Characters (as of Dec 29, 2022): Desire of the Endless, Unity
Summary: Unity Kincaid persuades her husband to be a great-grandparent to Rose and Jed. (My current plan is for this work to depict multiple relationships in the Endless-Kincaid-Walker family across a few chapters. If I leave this as is or split it into a few separate works, I will change the necessary labels.)
The Dreaming
Death: Is Unity not here? I was going to drop by and say hello.
Dream: She is currently visiting Desire.
Death: Oh I see, having a little 'couples' time ey?
Dream: I would rather not ponder on what levels of depravity they are currently engaging in, if it is all the same to you Sister.
The Threshold
Despair: (sat with all her rat fur babies) And this one is called Gerald.
Unity: It's a pleasure to meet you Gerald. You certainly are a spritely soul aren't you?
Desire: (❤️Heart Eyes❤️)
"... And Desire hates more then anything to be bored." The Sandman, Book of Dreams.
The Threshold
Death: I swear I haven't seen Desire this quiet since before the fall. I haven't heard a peep out of them in months. What's your secret Unity?
Unity: Oh I figured out how to soothe that wild spirit of theirs decades ago. The tricks to keep them busy. They get bored, they get tetchy... They get tetchy, they start to plot how to make it someone else's problem. Attention and entertainment are the two things that keeps their blood pumping you know? So make sure they never lack for both. So, I set them a challenge, something to keep that overactive brain focused and their hands occupied. They won't quit on it because that would be failing.
Death: And they hate that.
Unity: Exactly! Make sure to keep praising their efforts and they'll be as sweet and focused as a kitten with a ball of wool.
Death: So what have you got them doing?
Unity: Oh I taught them how to knit.
Death: You taught Desire how to knit! Desire?
Unity: You haven't seen Despair's rats recently have you?
Death: Despair's rats?
Despair's rats....
